Remember krillen, yamcha and tien are 3 of the strongest humans in dragon ball. You cant be too surprised of their strength. And just because goku is the main character doesnt mean hes always the strongest or will win everything

The Manga Order of events was this: -The Kamesennin gang arrive to enlist. -Roshi gives them the GIs. -Goku and Kuririn fight in preliminaries (Yamucha watches). -Goku meets Yamucha. Outside, Roshi meets up with Buruma, Oolong, and Puar. -After preliminaries, Goku and Kuririn meets up with everyone. In the Manga, Goku surprises Oolong from behind with the “piggy” call. Oolong greets Goku happily.

I can vouch for the 'feeling like paper' thing. You don't get lockers in college, you get to carry around your backpack all day; which these days means a laptop, everything that goes with a laptop, however many text books you need, lunch if you're packing, and some classes still give out papers, so a binder with folders and pencils, plus smaller things like your wallet and phone. All that weight on your back ads up quickly throughout the day, so taking it off for a class or at the end of the day feels amazing.

Imagine kids like myself back in the day that didn't have these laptops to carry around and used books instead. I carried about 3-5 books a day at school, which could weigh around 20-40 pounds altogether.

Fun Fact, the original color for Goku and the the Turtle School's gi was red. For some darn reason, it switched to orange over time and people wrongly thought it ALWAYS was. Personally, I'd like to see a return of the red turtle school gi for Goku, Krillin and Yamcha...heck, even Tien and Chiatzu.

The idea of the trainings in general in the entire DB universe is to show what is the training about, show a bit of the training and then see the full results of the training when it is the time, in this case the martial artist tournament and i think the formula works fine because you want to see what Goku or any of the others are able to do when it really matters.

The tenkaichi tournament was inspired by Bali after Toriyama visiting the island with a tour guide. Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, used symbols, writing, and clothing in the manga to reflect Balinese culture. There are character who watching te tournament wearing Bali writing shirt as well.

No Baris they (Goku and Krrulin) aren't at the same level even though they moved the rock. You can clearly see it appread that Goku recovered much better after pushing the rock, whereas Krrulin took a while. Its just a minor difference, but I believe that's what diffrentiates two species (Saiyan and Human).

I always wondered if Launch was a daughter of a mob boss. She is a bank robber, she plays with guns and she dresses HER boys in mafia style clothing when heading into a fight. And when her ditsy side she would never notice anything bad going on in the background, might even explain the split personality she had her public face she showed the world and she had her mob persona who likes Guns and money.

Yu Yu Hakusho is definitely above DBZ. Writing, character development, power scaling, consistency, fights. HxH would pull ahead overall of both but YYH is still my fave!
