Obviously he'll take more damage when he gets tagged, but over all yeah. His base form is crazy which also adds to his SSJ multipliers. I also don't think he uses any Stamina in base form anymore. He's acclimatized to like SSJ2.

I thought the power scaling was better in this episode. That being a tired SSJ2 Goku holding his own against SSJ2 Caulifla & a much stronger Kale and even overpowering them at some points. Even with a tired Base Goku vs Caulifla. Now it's a lot more believable when others use the reasoning that Goku held back against Caulifla & Kale in their first encounter.

I think people forget that Broly (DBZ), Kale and Broly (DBS) have 3 different transformations with different name and effect : Legendary SSJ, SSJ Berserker and Broly's Full Power SSJ. The only commun point is that they have the same color of hair and that's all.

21:40 because the amount of energy he is using during a fight isnt as much as he is getting back during the same time period. fighting at a lower level lets him defend himself while building back his strength, like pulling his punches until hes ready to flex again, and it can only take a couple of minutes to get enough power back to recharge to full because of how saiyan metabolism works and how they generate Ki.

Believe it or not, even though RESTORATIVE items aren't allowed in the Tournament, 'necessary items' are allowed as a 'gray area'. So the Potaras were moreso a brilliant play by Champa to softly cheat without getting shut down. Vados even okay'd it, and she has no allegiance to Champa or Universe 6, since she's an Angel. Gray areas are largely frowned upon but not outright banned in a lot of DB tourney arcs. Also, yes. Krillin and Tien could easily take any of the not-high-level characters in DB now. Remember that Krillin was actually able to keep up with base-level Goku before this tournament. He's definitely formidable- just not Blue level, and we can see that even BLUE isn't good enough for a few of the fighters here.

When kale becomes “legendary” super saiyan she’s actually doing what broly is doing which is just normal super saiyan like goku and vegeta but kale and brolys hair turn green because their berserk part of them mixes in with the super saiyan form making it stronger. Thats the explanation for broly but I’m pretty sure it could be the same for kale cuz the 7th and 6th universe are twin universes

Im not gone lie, if Goku and Vegeta would have fused, they just wouldve ran out of time against Jiren and if they couldnt Joren while fused, right after they defuse, they wouldve been out of energy and Jiren wouldve knocked them off . They most def wouldve had to use Kaioken Vegito against Jiren and that wouldve drained waaaayyyyyyy more time off of the Potara Earrings and they most def wouldve probably defused in 5 mins or less and Jiren most def wouldve still had power left in him to knock them off if he didnt lose to Vegito SSB Kaioken.

okay ppl dont seem to really understand how the forms work ... ssj1= boost to power raw taxes stamina ssj2 boost to the former consolidates stamina ssj3 boost to the former taxes stamina seeing the pattern? its why he can charge while using 2 or a variation of it to stay in the fight . note vegeta started consolidating 1st in majin form goku learned it during that fight is why vegeta was able to fight at full power so long and still keep going even with goku hiding reserves.

To answer your question about powering back up while fighting. It's kinda like in the games how if you do really good and land a lot more punches than you take, you will build up ki, allowing him more transformations and powerful attacks. His total health should be the same unless he takes a senzu bean or something that heals instantly

Goku will be able to recover because he is only using super sayian 2. In the cell saga goku and gohan mastered super sayian to such a degree that they could stay in the form constantly. Goku can literally go super sayian blue now so its safe to say that the energy drain of super sayian two is practically meaningless to Goku. Think of doing a marathon. If you sprint the first 300 meters you will be tired , but you will be able to get your energy back if you jog or walk. You are still exerting energy , but you can recover that energy faster than you are exerting it.

Goku and vegeta and most sayians get stronger as they fight do to what’s known as a zenkia boost as they get more and more injured with little time they are able to come back tens to hundreds of times stronger at base since the ssjs transformation is just a temporary power boost unlike blue and god wich is about extreme control under immense power
