@ my issue is not ghe funny gags, its litterally just the fact that goku could have handled the situation in a second but just took 20 min to go super saiyan for no reason, i also dont really buy that this monster would be the craziest challenge when goku was capable of blowing up the moon as a child. It made actually no sense that they wouldn’t just get serious and handle the serious situation, which ruined my immersion. I think its dumb, i actually love the OG dragonball aspects of diama

From a fighting shonen anime perspective, this episode was pure BS and made me angry. From an adventure anime perspective, this was super fun and entertaining, the world looked gorgeous and the giant myth is always fun in fiction. I cannot decide whether I liked or hated this episode, Imma try to enjoy this one for what it was and hope they will either leave this trope behind and let it just be a fun episode without continuity or have Goku and Vegeta defeat a Gigas in an epic battle by the end of the series, making this episode some kind of powerlevel foreshadowing.
