goku, you can instant teleport even to the afterworld. you don't need to go live anywhere to train Uub. just teleport to that village after breakfast, spend a few hours training him, teleport back home for lunch, stay for a while with your family, teleport to the village again, do the evening training sesion with Uub and teleport back home to enjoy family and friends.

. . . Goku needs to be familiar to or notice obscenely high power levels to teleport to a location. If he's heading to a place he's never been, to talk to people he's never talked to, He wouldn't be able to use the technique unless there was an obscenely high power level. . . Hence why he was able to go from King Kai to Broly. He never met Broly, but the power level of Broly (in a docile state mind you) was so high he could find him even within the world of the afterlife. tl;dr Goku needs to know the power level before he can teleport to it.
