Bosses are the main villain at the end of a stage or area. They tend to be the toughest enemy you will face, and can often deal damage to all party members or fill the entire screen with bullets for you to dodge. Not to be confused with midbosses, which are usually encountered halfway through and tend to be push-overs (unfortunately, they tend to reappear in later areas to steal your money, interrupt your stage performance, and think they should be the hero/villain.. AND THEY WILL NOT DIE...)

This is genuinely one of the funnest games I've ever played. Hilarious and an absolute blast in co-op. Good for beginners too as the difficulty scales in relation to the strength of your weapons. I love the music in Parodius games, every time you get to a new part of the game and hear a new song, your face will light up as you recognise the classic music - "Holy crap! They included THAT song!".

I first watched that video at 10-12 years old, I think I was mildly traumatized by it. I was especially shocked by the exotic dancer and the phallic references of the floating head boss. I was also shocked by the series' other games some of which were even more provocative. Now that I am watching it again it's not that inappropriate but back then I was really shaken. This is the first time I watched the whole video.
