That Ellipse is a stellar timepiece. I am dumping all the sports watches to get that Ellipse.

Another great episode exploring different PP models. The 5170R is a personal favourite of mine. Love the rose gold hands to match the case. And it’s a stunning watch with the black dial

@Bryan I feel your pain regarding the 25mm Calatrava, I am a big dude and if I saw that watch, I would think the same way you are thinking. Tim's face just knowing you were thinking about it was hilarious, like you were planning to rob a bank, lol! Ask Henry Stern and CO to make one, it should not be a problem. They could bring the cost down by making it in 36mm with the older manual wind calibre as a numbered edition because it will not be everyone's cup of tea but absolutely will be for a good number of ppl.

Absolutely love these PP videos. You guys need to make an episode to shade light onto the best gondolos: 5100G, 5124G etc

Patek’s rose gold is just a class of its own. No other brand can make rose gold cases like Patek can.

Crazy that watches with Minerva 16.29 movements can be had for $15-20K and the Patek chronos look pedestrian by comparison. It’s not even close tbh but hey people need that Patek logo

What I love about these videos is the honest interaction between both Tim and Brian. It is the conversation you hope to have with another watch aficionado. You do not have to agree when it comes to a matter of taste. You can recognize the other persons preferences and still love other things equally. Great content!

The Ellipse is the embodiment of Patek Philippe being an old-fashioned, stuffy grandfather brand (at least to the majority of people)…. Why are they not building out their timelessly beautiful reference 96 based collection to include complications up to perpetual calendar chronographs and minute repeaters. Instead they discontinued the 5170 and the 5296….. my eleven year old son finds the 5296 and 5170 absolutely good-looking and not old-fashioned at all and says they look classic

Gold and platinum are the cornerstones of true luxury watches, embodying elegance and value, unlike materials like steel, ceramic, and titanium, which lack the same prestige.

I didn’t like this episode that much . There is no story or connection between him and his watches. It seems he just buy them to flip them and look at them as an investment. For god sake the watch was still in its plastic.

This is not a Collector’s Conversation. This is Perpetually Patek: Govberg and Mosso talking about great Patek watches. While Govberg may own some of the pieces they discuss, that’s incidental to the purpose of the show.
