The bees price is not directly related with market gold price as per my understanding. Because when it is trading in market it will go up and down like share prices on the basis of traders sentiments, demand and supply. Then what is the meaning and use of underlying asset 'Gold' .The gold governs goldbee price passively. So who can assure that we can surrender / sell the goldbees at par to gold value in the market.? If we can buy and sell it on the NAV only, it will be fine and become a safe investment. Please share your thoughts

I was not very convinced with gold bees, also TER is bit high. I have couple of SGBs, invested during covid and have investment in companies like Titan Kalyan Goldiam Vaibhav Thangamayil & Malappuram (all invested during different phases of dips for mid to long term investment purpose)

SGB is a good investment imho, you usually get 10% discount when you buy from secondary market + 2.5*8 = 20% interest. So 30% is a straight benefit even if the gold prices stay the same. And there is no taxation of LTCG when the bond matures.
