Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord , and whose hope the Lord is. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:7, 9-10 KJV He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me. They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay. He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. Psalms 18:16-19 KJV Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:6-8 KJV This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. John 15:12-14, 17-21 KJV vs1 Once my soul was astray from the heavenly way I was wretched and as blind as could be Then the Savior above looked down with peace and love When he reached down his hand for me Chorus When the Savior reached down for me He had to reach way down for me I was lost and bound without God or his Son When he reached down his hand for me vs2. Now my heart does rejoice since I made Him my choice From the tempest to Him I did flee there he holds his arm safe secure from all harm When he reached down his hand for me Chorus When the Savior reached down for me for He had to reach way down for me I was lost and bound without God or his Son When he reached down his hand for me.

Man, He had to reach WAY down for me. Dad just looked at me in church, "How about it son?" I stared at him at him for a few seconds; then a prodical son stepped into an aisle, and knelt at an old fashioned altar in front of the whole church. Did I care? No way, I was coming back to Jesus. Maybe that is why I prefer a sinner to come down to the altar.

Once my soul was astray from the heavenly way I was wretched and blind as could be But my Savior in love gave me peace from above When he reached down his hand for me When the Savior reached down for me When he reached way down for me I was lost and undone without God or his Son When he reached down his hand for me How my heart does rejoice when I hear his sweet voice In the tempest to him I can cling There to lean on his arm safe secure from all harm When he reached down his hand for me

Thank you, Father God, for reaching way down for me, on August 19, 1990, Having been raised in Church, I knew right from wrong, but as some of us do, I walked away from Him. He has blessed my life as only He can, with a soul mate whom He made just for me, and the most beautiful kids and grandbabies on earth. A million years couldn't be enough for me to praise and worship Him, not just for what He has done for me, but because of who He is.

First, Brian is not a countertenor. Second, Brian can sing and isn't "screeching. " Third, Tim Riley is amazing.

Brian sings with Brian Free & Assurance, Ivan is a soloist, Mike LeFevre has his own quartet, Tim is still singing bass with Gold City (has retired at least once). This was the first outstanding lineup of Gold City. The second one had Jay Parrack, Jonathan Wilburn, Mark Trammell, Tim Riley. Danny Funderburk is now a soloist too, has been on a DVD called Remember the Music with other Cathedral members doing a tribute to Glen Payne & George Younce.
