How did the afl think this was a better channel 7 game then Freo v port?? Freo and Port are two top 8 teams rn! Gold Coast have never finished higher then 12th and hawthorn are a bottom 4 lock this year

Last year Freo was a bottom 6 side and port a top 4 whereas Gold Coast and hawthorn were bottom 6 sides. So whoever fixtures it thought this would be a closer match

I think it’s because it’s so hard to get tickets for the general public. I got my tickets the day of the match and there were only like less than 100 left. And also when Suns played Richmond in round 1 it said it was sold out even though there were empty seats everywhere.
