My ex-wife did something similar to me like this for the first few months I couldn't pay child support after our divorce it was a it was a tough time but then I got to back on track and I was paying the rear which was an extra $100 a month so after about 6 7 years I had a little bit of money saved up to get my own place and somehow she found out about that she talked to her lawyer they summoned me to court and I had no idea because they sent the summons to an address I didn't live at and she went to court and had the money I just had worked so hard to save completely drained out of my account it was 12,000 gone it feels like I'm never going to climb out of this it's just terrible all I wanted was to be a family it's all I wanted she doesn't even deserve the amount of Child Support she gets I give her almost $2,000 a month I literally have my kids every single weekend I can count on my hands the weekends throughout the 8 years now of my divorce that I didn't have my kids.. in the summertime I have them sometimes two months straight and she told me if I told the court about the amount of time I spend with my kids she would make my life a living hell and I believe her because her dad can afford the best lawyer in town and I can't afford one right now and she knows that I feel like I'm stuck I can't get my child support lowered because she is just going to make my life a living hell and I know she will because she is so petty.. she took a real estate agent to court and almost cost us woman her license because she heard through the grapevine that this woman didn't like her and called her the b word so she made me take a day off of work so she can take this woman to court over her ethics and literally cost that poor woman 6,000 in fines and she came home smiling from ear to ear saying you don't mess with the Smiths this is what happens when you try to mess with us.. I had such a sick feeling inside me when I saw that side of her it scared me she took me down and I am a good man and I am a good father I sacrificed everything for that woman and my boys and I still do to this day for my boys

Yes it's possible, I know someone personally that it happened to, they gave her the house also and he was responsible for paying it off, after it was paid off, she sold it and bought a mobile home in a different state, he also had to pay for her vehicle and keep health insurance on her until their daughter graduated.

It can also go the other way. I know a woman who bought a house out of her own money prior to partner moving in and her having 2 kids. When they split up, the courts made her give him half the value of the house by taking out a mortgage on the house she had completely paid off. She had to also raise the children in that house until they were 18. She wanted to move due to the bad memories but the court said she had to also raise the children in that house until they were 18.

I have 3 baby mothers and I was not married to them and by Thai law they are not even fully entitled to any child support because I am a foreigner. We made an agreement for 7000 bath (200$) per kid and those agreements are official when both parties agree to them, you don’t even have to go to court because of that.

This infuriates me. I have a deep hatred for the family court system in Texas. My sister filed a case for child support against my BIL even though she didnt have the kids, she also filed a fraudulent foof stamp case claim she was taking care of the kids. Shortly after CPS opened a case againt both of them and I had custody of my niece and nephew. Both parents were order to pay child support. It was 300 a month for both kids. The state started to take it out of my BILs paychecks. My sister refused to work so that she didn't have to pay. The judge never once penalized her. She also refused to cooperate with CPS. Had legal charges and still nothing. My BIL got sole custody and again she was order to pay child support. She has and she also got probation for her criminal troubles, but nothing was done to get her to pay. The crazy thing is paying the child support is a condition of her probation. This kind of stuff is absolutely infuriating. The law wants to punish men unfairly by imposing child support and then doesn't enforce the consequences equally. Woman are not penalized in way for non-payment.
