I normally enjoy the hand sculpted builds more, but this project is amazing. The marble finish is great and the lion is just spectacular. It is the fun that you have which makes the videos so watchable and I heartily agree with the violence done to rubber chickens.

What is the material that you use to make the statue gold?

We sent it to a specialist chrome sprayers

Job looked great in the end but have to say if we sanded like that in the automotive design industry finishing tooling models we would be shown the door . The only way to get perfect finishes is by using different size rubber blocks with different amounts of flexibility which avoids rubbing in defects with the sandpaper and the pressure of your fingers, Just saying.

Very true. We did use various blocks and flat tools when sanding, but we found we needed to apply more direct pressure in particular areas, where ands and fingers were more practical for the intricate areas.

Hi Stock, you can use multiple layers of PVA glue, but you need to make sure every inch is covered

Bullshit! The quality of work your shop sculpts is amazing. The fun bows the staff does are great, and they deserve the credit. The rubber chicken makes you look like an amateur. It's like watching the worst DIY homemade video.

Its abit of added humour. Amateurs is something these people are not!!! They are artists in all forms. Seems you cant have a joke and a laugh in this world anymore without someone picking fault at the things you do. They have been in business for 30 years, they know what they are doing im sure. Although these videos would be great content alone if it purely focused on the builds themselves, the added comedy value is one thing i always enjoy viewing along with them. Love your work, but honestly thats almost plagiarized pose and shape of Yuri Gagarins statue in Moscow. Might want to question clients who does that.

Hi RBT, that was very much the point :) The Yuri sculpture symbolises the rocket and the first man in space. And this Future Lions sculpture is supposed to represent excelling towards the future in the same sort of fashion, and represents a homage play on design to the Moscow monument. Very well noticed though!
