i speed run shores of gold often. there is an easier way to go about the statue, and the traps. Park your boat on the south side of the island, near the waterfall. 2 vaults are right there, and it'll take way less time to get the skull to the boat. at 15:20 , further up those rocks that he's laying on, you can sword jump(not dash) onto the statue and unlock it from the inside. sword jump on the first bit of the dungeon and land on the fence blocking the end from the spikes. run through the spikes as per usual. sword jump from the platform onto the anchor, then walk the rest. leave one blunder skellie alive per fight room, and get the anchors up. rest should be pretty easy.

to do the sprinting with an item trick, you dont have to shove your mouse down each time to pick it back up. you can just look down slightly while doing it, so much easier that way and less work to do it cause you dont even need to move your mouse, only to turn obviously.

i think an improvement to the gold hoarder fight would be puzzles during the fight, making sure its not just an irritating sponge fight. like plates you would have to stand on in sync, or in a certain order, to lower a shield, or, you only have a certain amount of time to get on the plates before you die.

I actually had an ancient skeleton spawn as soon as I came out of the waterfall on my final shores of gold run, in which I unlocked the gold curse... I think they might actually spawn more at shores of gold than other islands
