Given reduced inflation signals and as the Federal Reserve has halted rate hikes, what are the best additions for a $220K portfolio to enhance the overall performance of my portfolio for 2025

Look for stocks that have paid steady, increasing dividends for years (or decades), and have not cut their dividends even during recessions. Alternatively speaking to a certified market strategist can help with pointers on equities to acquire

True, a lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $550k to nearly a million as of today

Impressive can you share more info?

There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with Carol Vivian Constable for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.

Good discussion on inflation. Inflation keeps increasing and I only hear numbers that are in the 2 to 3% range; it doesn't reflect the wholesale or retail reality. Trump has the best Cabinet of our lifetime and we should step back from being overly critical. Give him a chance. Admittedly the current administration deserves the criticisms for the lies.

I'm going to say something that's crazy but would probably work more than any other scenario let's say you let everybody keep the money they make meaning no income tax but move a portion of that income tax to sales tax while we do a tariff of 25 across the board. This will allow people to spend the way they want invest the way they want of their own money while being taxed less through sales taxes
@dawsonniehus488018 күн бұрын
that’s not really crazy, whats crazy is the government stealing anywhere from 20-60% of our income and how that is just normalized in todays world

If we do riff off the Band-Aid and interest rates need to go up and then we go into stagflation or a depression and the debts would explode from the higher interest rates at that point if they were smart they should revalue gold and use gold to knock off a large portion of the national debt while they do Doge on the front end

Peter, I love listening to your economic knowledge & understanding & I get your point when you talk about Trump & him slapping on tariffs, but would it be fair to say that if or when he does, it will then encourage the China's, Mexico's, Canada's & the rest to set up shop in the U.S which will then create jobs & somewhat help the U.S economy?
@UBSINGH-pd7fp24 күн бұрын
Manufacturing can become your cup of tea only when you have skilled labour at competitive rates. Otherwise it can become a disaster.
@dawsonniehus488018 күн бұрын
generally yes it would encourage bringing back domestic production but the regulatory environment is abysmal in the U.S. so I’m not sure how feasible it would be to just start building factories and not to mention even if it did encourage domestic production it would take years and a lot of capital investment to rebuild our manufacturing infrastructure.

They’re still able to smash gold and silver down. Silver can’t even hold $30. Pathetic.
@foxmoongaze26 күн бұрын
Of course they can, the banks have control of the paper future contracts which make the spot price. If you buy gold and silver, especially silver, you need to think of it as a long term way out of the broken financial system that will preserve some of your wealth, not as a way to make quick dollar profits.
@silver-en7kl26 күн бұрын
@ so I’m not supposed to point out how annoying our corrupt system is? Not sure why this triggers the stacking community so much? It’s like you’re running to defend the LBMA and the crimex. Lol, if Peter Schiff complains about the paper sell off or the miners not getting their just and true value everyone applauses him, I do it and you want me publicly tortured to death. WTF? Complaining is letting them know we know they are corrupt.

Schiff telling the truth, like always. I'm now in on miners too, can afford to wait and realize nobody else wants them, but I like being early, then waiting. To me, its clear that most miners just made multi-year highs in late October, so this is a dip to be bought if one has a long term horizon.

Peter acts like tariffs are a novel, theoretical concept. There are plenty of tariffs in place and the world hasn't ended.
@LeoNidas-30126 күн бұрын
Tariffs have historically been bad for the world economy. They are a tax on the end consumer of the country imposing them. Worst case is Smoot Holey Tariffs partially responsible for the 1930s Great Depression. I think Trump will use the threat to get concessions out of other countries and not impose Tariffs. I hope.
