Such a beautiful finish. How much do you think was spent on the materials? Is it not difficult to clean up after you remove all the extra flakes? Seems like glitter but maybe just good shop vac does the trick. Going to try some areas in my house. Thanks for the great video techniques and lovely finished results! Impressive!

Thank you! It was a very satisfying project. The removal of the excess flakes is very time consuming. I have been using 5 inches wide, smooth brush. This is to avoid scratches on the leaf. More or less the total costs of the materials that I used on this project was 1500 usd.

Can this be done on any color wall ? Or do you suggest to painted gold color ?

There are two reasons that’s why I have it painted with gold. The first is if you missed some spots on installing the gold leaf, the paint will help it to be unnoticeable. The second is,if you accidentally scratch your wall you still have the paint underneath. Good luck!

Solvent based products will do a great job on sealing it. I recommend to spray seal the leaf.

Thank you! The brand of the sizing glue is called PAG. Its an Italian brand. The Mona Lisa brand from USA is also a good brand. But any kind of sizing glue will do the job. Just make sure that you apply it properly and nicely.

You need a sizing glue. It’s specifically made for metal leaf.

It’s a very soft and fine brush so it’s doesn’t scratch the leaf.
