50:30 well maybe if they weren't typing so much they would have been able to build more in 3 minutes.🤔 Also, 4:20:01 The guy has all of his marines targeted and without deselecting a single one they break into 3 groups, then a moment later the three groups become 2 but they move in slightly different directions at the same time all while the whole group is targeted. I turned the video down to .25 playback speed and you can clearly see them microing 3-5 different groupings of units all while having the entire army selected.

That's actually just a-move. Just before they start splitting you can see him a-move backwards and the ones out of range of the enemies keep moving while the others stay and attack.

@@plaguebomb2712 Yeah, it's hilarious. Something about the AI that commands them to attack only tells them to step away and do it for so long leaving them to kill it until it had like 16 HP. If this wasn't the first game then Winter may not have begun an investigation. It's also funny that he's so anxious to keep watching that he spends like 1 1/2 hours doing so, and making the other Angry Coach reviews wait through most of it.

In the game that starts at 3:17:58, when he gets the skytoss trapped at 2 base at roughly 3:23:00 . Would it have been worth it to do the creep drop ability from an overlord (idk what its called) and place a creep tumor on it to start building a spore field at the bottom of the ramp to help bleed the skytoss out? Or would that have not been worth it and or too slow to help an amount that matters?

That is not scripts. it's not a gold league hack, nor exactly a macro god, but that is closer. It's called autism. And I don't mean that in some sort of pejorative sense. The guy is extremely adept at highly specific skills especially ones that involve repetition and highly ordered behaviors, not very social as his lack of chat hints at, and has a thought process profoundly different from neurotypical people. All combing to somewhat mediocre outcomes despite the high level of mastery at specific skills. It's not unlike the movie "rainman" or the TV show "the good doctor."

You even say if he builds the barracks in the same spot it seals the deal, then when he doesn't you don't accept it as meaningful. You say he always builds exactly 2 marines per barracks then when he does 3 you don't acknowledge that it invalidates your hypothesis. The stuff going on here is definitely not scripts.

Hello, I'm XeNon the terran in this episode and as a stereotipical terran I will write my legthy explanation were I'll try to give some more insight and point out some inconsistencies in the accusations: -for context I'm a new player which plays from time to time so I try to just do 1 begginer terran build that I can be semi competent in. I don't want to play a lot of builds poorly; -initially I was in eu playing on the eu ladder, but because of work I had to go to us so I played on the us ladder; -this is my second appearance on Angry Coach, the first one being in the episode called "Sc2 ANGRY COACH Marathon - IF YOU DON'T YELL HOW CAN WE HEAR YOU?!?", the first terran named "Senniesh", I was still practicing the same build 1 year ago; -when I started playing I was following Winter's begginer terran build which doesn't attack until it's maxxed out, but I found that I lost a lot of games to early timings so I tried another begginer terran build which is a +1, stim timing, hopefully with combat shields, from HuShang Tutorials named "EASY Beginner Terran Build Order (2021)"; -I try to follow the advice from better players that say to focus on myself not on the enemy, that's why I generally don't use scouting scans in the early game; -I know that I have the decision making of a confused donkey, so I work more on the mechanics of playing starcraft since it's easier to start there; -the replays are mostly viewed in double or quadruple speed so it looks like I play faster than I actually do; -about the cannon rush: once I saw that the second probe died I thought to myself "killed the probe, killed the problem, now the cannon rush should be over, don't waste mining time", but I failed to notice that a cannon was building above my cc so I paid the price; -the reason for repeated checks on the scv that builds the natural is because it is an idle scv and the idle worker button was active so I kept checking -3:56:55 regarding the apm steadly increasing is because I know Winter doesnt like spammy players so I try to keep the apm as efficient as I can for the duration of the game -the reason I stayed on that one game until every fighting unit was dead was because I was very tilted that I kept on losing; that was the only game where I had no fighting units at the end; the other games I had units or I wanted to fire the widow mine before I gg out; again, all because of loss induced tilt; -4:07:23 last game I still had fighing units 3:59:35 and medivacs; -5:48:31 cc getting built in the same spot is a habit from Vibe's terran b2gm; -like I said in chat at that time, my stutter stepping is straight from playing adc in lol, so I have a lot of experience; and if you look closely the speed of the stutter step is different depending on the attack speed on the units I'm using, marines with stim or without stim, tanks, etc; I just like stutter stepping; -6:13:09 since initialy I was in eu, I guess the time remained as eu time even though I was in the us; I was playing in the evenings in the us, that's why it was showing as early morning eu; Some macro struggles that prove nothing is automated: -3:56:00 2k minerals; -4:05:09 1.5k minerals; -4:05:22 1 scv and 1 marine are queued; 4:06:03 more marines are queued on top (it's x4 speed so it's harder to notice); -5:48:00 struggling on the macro; -5:48:50 nothing got cancelled, the marines finished building ; That being said I'll still submit to angry coach and subscribe to the twitch channel since it's so entertaining and I want to support winter for all the entertainment he has offered me. From now on I'll try to stream my games so that I'll not get wrongly accused anymore.

I have not played ladder in years. so i am not sure if it´s nowadays regular this way. but how on earth are all those players ranked diamond and platinum? is the NA ladder really that bad? or is it on the other servers similar? so much trash talk and terrible mistakes like these players do used only to be a thing in gold league and below

It's actually a phenomenon known as _Twitch Chat GM_ People are more perceptive to mistakes when they aren't the ones playing. Even moreso when in a setting prone to confirmation bias like Angry Coach where you go in looking to laugh at mistakes. Not to mention that when we make a stupid decision ourselves, we know the thought process behind it, so it seems less stupid. Even if our thought process was flawed to begin with. Like thinking that archons are the counter to zerglings since they deal splash damage, but ignoring the fact that the chargelots you made with your gigantic mineral bank were more cost effective vs zerglings. Totally not speaking from personal experience btw...

As someone who is working with AI, i can say this is not an AI, or at least not complety. No AI would use such an baselayout. They have trouble learning the game as it is, building in a "nice way " is something they definetly wont do. What is possible, is that it is partially an AI. For example It could have pre programmed builds and decide which one to use, or it just does the micro, or a combination of both. But this is definetly not a network only, like alphastar is.

You could definetly overfit soe datapoints for it to learn how to build a nice base. For general behaviour, that's a terrible choice, but if you wanted to sell the whole "This is a human", then overfitting some points would be a great way to throw up a smokescreen.

I know this doesn't really stand with uniformity of what most of twitch chat was saying, I don't believe this guy was scripting. (XeNon) Though this assumes all parts of his story line up. It's too ambiguous but a good way to tell might be actually checking how he mixed his ghosts in and if he is ghosts timing just as well as his Marines or at least good enough.
