A very moving video. True heros. Such a shame the RNLI is becoming politically correct They sacked several members of the Whitby lifeboat - all because one of the crew had a mug made with a rude picture on it. Women join the lifeboat service these days and then object to men being men!

To me, and most other sailors the RNLI consists of the men on the deck of the lifeboat (god bless em) and not some organisation or other because as my mum used to say we only have a lifeboat crew because most of them have tied up their own boats because it is too dangerous to go to sea..

How come the container ship didn't have lifeboats?
@johnmurrell31754 жыл бұрын
She was not a container ship it was a bulk cargo carrier. As below lifeboats cannot be launched above a certain angle of heel and with the ship rolling would have been smashed against the side as the ship rolled.

Curious Q Did the Capt of that Cargo ship know he was heading into a storm ? . And with the cargo which was loosely stored ?? that under such conditions will affect the ballast of the ship . Due to the design of the hold . Your Documentry did state that the cargo shifted due to the storm . It was a situation waiting to unfold .... That being said that crew has more guts than the current generation of SJWs etc .. Imo the entire crew should have been awarded the George Medal ( The Maltese People got it ) ..as with the crew of the Solomon Browne R.I.P.
