Worth 12 billion, not trillion. Someone in the government that did the math put 3 extra zeros when transforming grams to tons. It's 10 grams of gold per 1 ton of ore, not 10.000grams per ton. That would make it dozens of time more gold dense than metallic asteroids full of platinum and gold, which is impossible.

No wonder why gold is too expensive! One geologist said that they check a whole 1 tonne of rock material to get just 1- 4 grams of gold from South Africa! Hope it's easier for those guys

True, best ore deposits ever found are 10 grams/ton of ore. I think someone in the government made a mistake when they calculated 10.000 grams/ton. That's impossible, not even metallic asteroids that are packed with gold, palladium and platinum contain such an amount, not even close. But with 10 grams/ton, there's still 300+ tons of gold, which is substantial. But nowhere close to the 300.000 lol.
