I just looked at the recap for a second time because it's been too long between trips, what with the Covid restrictions and everything else I thought a little refresher couldn't hurt. I'm looking forward to using the Gold Monster again after so long, I hit the Like, Subscribe and the Notification, keep up the great videos as they're always enjoyed. Happy Hunting and Keep Hammering boys. Cheers mate

Happy new gold year to you guys. Great vid and great tips. The gold monster has a reputation with beginners to be a crap unit till they watch vids like yours. I’ve put a few guys onto your channel to learn how to PROPERLY use them. Keep hammering guys. Great camera work too. Give her a pay rise. Cheers.

Cheers for all the great information that you pass on about the monster, I'm getting real good at digging trash, casings, lead etc 😂. Still waiting for that first piece of AU. I tend to find more with a pan & sluice. But you need water for that, not much up your way. Regards Andy

Awesome video. Me and the Mrs recently purchased a monster. But we haven't found any gold. We are getting frustrated because people give us conflicting information. 1 Example people say constantly rub the coil on the ground while other people say keep it above the ground a few inches. We are using the small coil
@keephammeringprospecting2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback With the monster do not rub it on the ground as it will give you false feedback I'm sure you know what I'm talking about hahha Keep it as low as possible to the ground Low and slow in not a motto we use either A little faster helps keep the tone sharp and crisp 👌 If you guys need or want some for help or a catch up out there or advise Jump onto our Facebook page and shoot us a message 🤘 .goodluck And keep Hammering 🔨

Great content guys, I'm new to detecting I have the GM1000, I've put about 15 hours on it so far no gold yet plenty of lead shot nails tin hot rocks etc. The area I'm in is Ararat Vic . Ararat Hills Regional Park with a endless supply of digs. I just wanted ask a couple of things . How far do you guys let the battery on the monster run down and does it effect the performance . I think I'm getting the hang of it and learning the different sounds . Your vids are very helpful and keep me keen, Thanks Rob
@keephammeringprospecting3 жыл бұрын
Cheers Rob, yes we are based in Horsham and most of our areas are near ararat, there is gold there mate and you will find it 🤘 The battery we let run down to 1 bar then recharge. We haven't noticed any difference between full and low, so yeah it get down mate We are running a event in march at great western if your keen to come along we will be taking people out throughout the day and showing you guys what we know in person Follow us on Facebook for all info 🤘 Just Keep Hammering Prospecting on fb

Gday guys what do you use to protect your coil. Skid plate?
@keephammeringprospecting3 жыл бұрын
Yep skid plate and elec tape around the coil and plate to stop all minerals and water getting in-between creating noise and feedback
@theGoldWolf Жыл бұрын
Hey mate, in this previous video GM1000 Start Up & Target Noise you state use search setting 10, yet in this vid you are saying auto ....... kinda confused. I have just purchased my second gold monster, the first one gave me the shits and I got rid of it and then grabbed a Gold Kruzerr, however I am going to give the monster another crack, cheers!
@keephammeringprospecting Жыл бұрын
G'day mate, Thanks for reaching out.. In the first video we mentioned using Auto 1 or 2 in hotter more mineralised ground. If your in prime ground ie Mullock Heaps we ALWAYS recommend Manual Settings 👌 Goodluck out there and keep us posted 🤘

With a gold monster, you're looking for light colored ground. Beige grey white. Stay away from orange looking ground.

I used to be a Public Relations Cameraman in the Army. You need to use a lapel mic.. or have you camera person closer.. Unfortunately to fix this video you’d have to reshoot it.. 😔 Still trying to get a handle on my gold monster and I’m determined to find gold with it. I have other veteran friends that have much better way more expensive machines. They think that I’m not going to find gold with it.. That’s a challenge to me! 😂😂

I seen a video on youtube a guy from minelab doing a start up VID on the Gold monster he holds it up out in front of him turns it on waits for it to beep then he said it's in balance now off you go, he didn't pump up and down on the ground, so which is it just turn it on and go or what
@keephammeringprospecting3 жыл бұрын
No mate doing that eliminates the EMI in the area Putting it down on the ground a pumping eliminates ground noise and sets it in balance 🤘

I feel a bit sorry for Minelab Gold Monster($900+ new,) buyers/users. You really need to research your detectors. Do you know that my Whites MXT (10+ YR OLD VLF detector,) will hit 'every type and size of target'-at the same depths as the Gold Monster, with equal-size coils on each unit? Absolutely true. Folks should have bought the Minelab Equinox 800, instead. Or an MXT used- for $300.00. P.S; If my MXT can signal on the smallest shotgun shell BB, a no. 8, or .09 of an inch at 2 inches depth? What does that tell you...
