Behind the scenes in a KZbin gold panning video. What goes into making a video that the average viewer does not see or maybe does not even know happens. I help Pioneer Pauly making is "100 gold pan video" and while he is producing his video I show the viewers what goes into a video like this from the perspective behind the cameras. I still show all the great gold, all the panning, all the scenery and good times, but I also give a bit of insight into what happens that the viewer never sees.

Dan you didn't even mention the cost of the cameras, drones, snuffer bottles, waders, etc. Making videos for us to enjoy is not cheap and I thank all of you for this. It makes my week more enjoyable especially since the closest gold to me is 1200 miles away.

costs of most equipment they would already have or get because this is what they like to do for fun, maybe not cameras but ive seen plenty of youtubers using just their phones to make videos, they did this stuff before realizing they could make money doing it, saying that i still believe they should monetize what they are doing, its a no brainer and people that whine about it are idiots

I loved this video! It waa very informative and interesting how much work goes into making a video that we in turn get to watch for free, so THANK YOU!!!! Anyone who complains about watching ads when watching KZbin should either not watch KZbin or pay for the premium package so it's ad free. I assume that almost everyone has another job to help offset the costs of making videos and having patrons who are willing to help out is amazing (I only wish I could afford to be a regular patron, but I know I can always purchase some amazing merchandise to help out). I have tried my hand at panning and it is a real challenge depending on the dirt, rocks and water temp turning your fingers to isicles. I did not last beyond a few pans. Much easier to watch you do it and I get just as excited at what you find!!!

I know very well how much cost make video, I'm working in Italy for 20 years like a independent film producer, after that the last 10 years I'm working like technicians or key grip guys so all my life have to do with different videos. And now in Canada after I sold anything I make my video with only my cellphone editing to, different life, different country, different way to make cheap video. I enjoy more than usual because explained exactly how hard is a hobby work. You and Pauley's content is awesome and any moron spending 3 seconds thinking about what it costs and takes to put out that kind of content ought to be able to end up with the answer that it costs you both money to do so. So tired of hearing about people whining about monetization when they are watching your vids for free.
