Gold has been going up through the hiking cycle so I don't think that has too much bearing anymore. It's more or less the buying of central banks and the printing of US dollars to cover wartime spending

I would have to disagree because the gold standard in the 1970s was based off of $30 an ounce now you have to account for all that inflation and all the debts that are out there in the whole world and that's where the value of gold should be it should actually be somewhere in the realm of 87,000 an ounce

Most of that debt will go bad and essentially disappear. It's the US debt that written on paper and needs to be paid out that needs to be matched with gold.

Maybe Adrien doesn’t factor in the $34 trillion dollar USA debt and the fact that the world has dismissed buying USA treasury bonds? Just not sure where this guy is coming from?

Why would the FED want reduced inflation when it's a factor of reducing deficits? I feel they are walking the fence of trying to boost employment strengthen bank lending to further debt liabilities and maintain a higher inflation target. JMO
