When I watched Jeff Clark's interview back in February about his 10 favorites, I decided to put in bids for 8 of those junior miners with a typical amount of approximately $500 per company. I put in buy options that were anywhere from 25% to 30% below their current prices. Over the next several months, seven of those 8 bids were filled. What I find interesting is that many of those stocks are down anywhere from 15% to 30% from the time that I bought them.

Bought 2008 Gold at 835 oz. approx yearly gain to now 6% (rule of 72) IF the Markets do have a big drop - like 2008, Gold will drop too. In my opinion this is NOT a buying opportunity.... yet. “It’s not so much What you Buy, it’s What you Pay!”

Another great interview with Jeff. Super interesting especially considering what Jeff feels are good buys at the moment considering where everything is at and even where his previous predictions are at. Great hard hitting questions form Adam as usual. Thanks! Thanks!

I'm no Financial expert but it seems to me that in the everything bubble, when the bubble bursts everything collapses. And the bigger the bubble the bigger the collapse. It would not surprise me if everything goes down 40 to 50%. Maybe wait til gold hits 1,200 bucks an ounce before thinking about buying physical again. It's quite possible that silver may hold up as it has more industrial usage. But China needs to open its doors again. If they don't the floor drops out from under silver as well. It's time to cash out of everything and keep the powder dry for the buying opportunities after the 50% drop.

Personally, I don't think it's time to be thinking about precious metals until the fed capitulates. I think Gold could go way lower before then, particularly if there is a bottom where VIX spikes. Could easily see 16xx. And that's at least 3 to 4 months out or more.

If the Dollar goes stronger, Gold goes down. The FED is going to continue to tighten. If China begins to have more bank problems the Chinese people will buy Gold to protect against the YUAN going down against the dollar. Not a good time to try to forecast Gold and silver. Too many Geopolitical wildcards. Too many banking concerns. Good luck everyone.

Gold developers are super scarce! ... The legitimate developers with proven reserves are sitting pretty as the tedious process of permitting unfolds. There are not enough mining companies and especially not enough developers, so simple math tells us that a positive reckoning of the true need of gold development will be illuminated to the buying market soon enough. As with pretty much every sector of the market, you must get the timing right. You cannot be a perma bull on anything. It is great if you can identify good gold stocks, but if you buy them at the wrong time, you will lose money. The fundamentals are great for gold as the cost of mining keeps increasing. Gold miners, on the other hand, must pay for the increased costs in addition to suffering from declining grades. Gold has proven to be a much better investment over the long term than gold miners. If you are unable to time the market, you have no business buying gold stocks. Gold stocks are for people who can time them. Physical gold is for long term wealth preservation.

Why can't a big hedge fund just come in an buy up all the silver or silver miners? Indeed this question gets asked often. Regarding silver the answer is that if a big hedge fund does decide to do this they will most likely, inadvertently end up buying paper rather silver. Paper will either be in form of the SLV ETF or warrants on silver in Comex vaults. When investors get "steered" into these synthetic "assets" no real actual silver gets pulled off the market ... so of course as a result the hedge fund doesn't move the needle on price. If the hedge fund tries to redeem from SLV they will be told they are not permitted to do that. If they try and "load out" on comex then according Luke Grommen they will promptly get a visit from some federal tough guys with a warning "don't do that", remember what we did to the Hunt brothers! This is likely exactly what happened to Warren buffet many years ago ... he was told to back off. While this may sound like a "conspiracy theory" it is almost certainly considered a national security threat by some corners US government that actually understand precious metals. There are probably some similar shenanigans going with the miners. For example why is GDX almost perfectly correlated with comex silver, as pointed out by Craig Hemke? PM investors need to understand this before getting too embroiled.

I have a tax question that I hope someone can answer. Is the following statement accurate? "Gains from investments in physical gold and physical gold ETFs outside an IRA are taxed as collectibles. If a gold investment is held more than one year, any gain is taxed at the SAME RATE AS ORDINARY INCOME except with a maximum tax rate of 28%." Thank you!

I continue to see references to "GOLD" in terms of physical metal and PM equity. I wish it is correctly referenced. I am baffled by Jeff's assessment that gold will go up, even in the scenario of expected recession [by many reputabe guests on this channel]+ Fed's commitment to raise interest rate. I bought basket of GDX jeff after his recommendation and at lower price and I am still in hole. Getting bit nervous in the event of liquidity crisis.

At least 2500 metric tons of gold are being mined each year worldwide. In just eight years of mining that would equal the amount of gold reserves owned by the U.S., Germany, Italy, France, Russia and China combined. The U.S. supposedly owns 8100 tons of gold reserves. That's about three years of worldwide gold mining. There are two ways of looking at this: 1) the world doesn't really have much gold 2) the world supply of gold is increasing rapidly.
@jonroberts2445
@jonroberts2445 2 жыл бұрын
There is a third way of looking at it, to acknowledge that central banks currently own a relatively small amount of the total gold in the world. In fact only around 17%, according the World Gold Council. Around half the gold ever mined in the world is currently in jewellery.

Adam, why on earth do you not ask Jeff (and other people who claim to be experts on gold and silver) whether there is manipulation of the gold and silver prices by banks like Bank of America, Citibank and other massive banks? It is absolutely RIDICULOUS to not understand that there is obvious manipulation and to not discuss this.

To invest in junior resource firms one needs to adopt the barbell theory of investing. On one side hold cash, short term treasuries, and physical metals. On the other side, all speculative bets. Nothing in between and you must be able afford to lose every speculative bet. But if one or two actually perform you can make a ton of money. But you have to understand the risk.
@slowmoney5567
@slowmoney5567 2 жыл бұрын
Stick to the majors and if you must speculate with a small amount then don’t do it on a non operating junior with an in ground resource that’s marginal at best and which they have been sitting on for years. They are never going to the moon. Never. The real speccies with 20 bag potential are ones drilling out new ground. Degrey a good example now with 10 million ounces in ground at 1.2g/t all open pittable.Another, S2R, has rite to exploration lease totally surrounding Kirkland lakes Fosterville mine, one of the richest currently producing gold mines. Do your own research though.

Mines will be closing at an alarming rate. Supply far exceeds demand and most of these miners aren't equipped to continue exploring. I wouldn't consider silver miners for at least a decade.

Except that there are few pure silver miners. As I'm sure you know, or if you don't you do now, most silver comes as a byproduct of mining base metals like copper zinc lead, etc. And gold.
