The problem with inflation coming down if people will continue to spend and consume no matter what. Instead of cutting out spending to help decrease inflation, they will just complain about prices while continuing to spending. The world is suffering from capitol cruch. Not just the oil sector and I think it's becuase of the baby boomers world wide removing risky investments.

Is there a shortage of certain vehicles? I had an oil change at a dealership and they said I needed $10k in repairs🙄 I had another mechanic look at it 4 different times to include an alignment check and there were no repairs needed. That was 3 months ago and I drive kids in this car several times a day! Ironically, this same vehicle was appraised by a different dealership for $10.5k just a few months before all of this. I personally think the second dealership tried to trick me into trading the vehicle or selling it to them because they knew the true value of it.

No shit. The government (at the behest of the auto industry) keeps mandating "safety" and "environmental" regulations to push up the cost of vehicles. And anyone that has any amount of mechanical knowledge realizes that new cars are overly complicated. The educated budget consumer would rather spend $10k on a used vehicle every 5 years and drive it into the ground rather than spend $30k on a car that will need specialized maintenance/repairs every year.
