Brit here, I bought 6, one ounce gold Britannia's , an half ounce Brittania, a 1 tenth of an ounce gold Brittania and 8 gold sovreigns September-October 2022 for £13,600. Now worth over £19k. No tax if i wanted to sell them as exempt from Capital gains tax, not that I have any intention of selling anytime within the next 10 years. No real movement with the price for the first 12 months I held them but the last 15 months is mental. Inflation, world conflicts?. I'm glad I'm holding Physical coins and not peices of paper. If you don't hold it you don't own it.

Yesterday, late afternoon I went to my LCS in OC CA to swap out some silver toward a Gold Buffalo. Everybody there was selling their gold they bought years ago at a good profit. To the point this Dealer ran out of cash and was paying with check. Never had I seen that before at this store

Glad I got the bulk of mine when it was $2400 Canadian back in 2022, just below record highs of the time. It is now $4100. The writing was on the wall for Canadian dollars when between 2020-21 they printed 30% of all dollars in existence "because covid" in order to completely debase the currency and inflict inflation.

I miss the days of just a few months ago when I was buying brilliant uncirculated French roosters from my local coin shop for $500 apiece. Those 1/10ths typically have high premiums but can never go wrong with a 1/10th oz gold. Easier liquidity. Cant wait till I get 10 of them.

@@BillWaltrip lots of fake gold & silver being sold online so make sure it is reputable source and I’d take precautions from pawnshops too, have them verify it infront your eyes before you walk away with it or it could be a costly mistake on your part. With gold you don't need to be a genius like picking stocks. If I wrote a 101 investing for dummies book my first sentence would be buy 5% gold in your portfolio doesn't matter the price. Anyone can do it and it's easy. It's not real estate or stocks, it's very easy just go online on a reputable dealer website and start buying fractions if you can't buy full ounce. You don't need to time it just buy consistently over years.

Nobody was, it was under most of our radar. There was a guy at my job who knew about gold and urged everyone to buy it. Nobody took him seriously. Holding gold and silver is an inflation hedge. As much as I like President Trump, he will not be able to stop inflation. Been investing in gold and silver for over a decade and, at this point in time, the results have kept up with inflation. Precious metals are for wealth preservation, not speculation.

Video was a good watch. I got a second job solely for purchasing gold . I’m doing pretty fine the last 3 years. Gathered used gold jewellery below spot, bought old sovereigns below spot all when people had less value on the metal. That has changed. I’ve nearly 30oz gold and 305 silver . My new strategy will be to sell belongings I won’t need to buy more metals

I have kept stacking gold, with my last quarter eagle setting me back $705 in January. With silver over $30, I only buy numismatic coins or cool stuff with condensed premiums (Perth Mint Lunar silver coins are an obsession, and I will have a full set in 2oz this year, with one and half oz close behind, and only half a dozen 5oz coming up the rear). I love numismatics, but I have held off on gold ones unless I see great deals. I have bought the 2016 gold Mercury dime and Standing Liberty Quater. I intend to buy the Walking Liberty half dollar as well. Overall, I am happy buying cool silver, along with standard gold with a few cool items here and there (I love British Sovereigns). When silver dips below $30 I try to buy eagles or spot deals, but I have always sold those low-premium silver items (mostly ten ounce bars and rounds). I even sold my Maples last year, only keeping animals coins, dragon coins, Canadian proof commemoratives and special proofs like the double maple 2oz. I will continue to stack gold because the Federal debt levels and unending 7% of GDP and growing deficits must result in inflation. The US lacks the political will to tighten our belts, so we will pay off our debt through inflation, just like Vietnam, only this time the absolute debt levels are far higher. My first recommended solution is to harmonize the long-term capital gains tax to the short-term rate. There is no good reason to have two rates, unless you believe in Marxism. The idea comes from the fallacy of “speculation.” There is no difference between speculation and investment. This distinction should end, and raising taxes on capital gains is the best way to raise revenue (not higher income taxes!). I would also end corporate taxation, and raise the capital gains rate to make this change revenue neutral. This fixes so many economic distortions in tax policy, and will bring so much capital home. Finally, we need to either cut spending, or accept that we no longer follow our original American values. Our welfare state is expensive and unfair. We should replace it with basic income instead of having armies of bureaucrats who dole job is to humiliate poor people. Not that anyone is listening, but I so desperately want to see our ship fixed and returned to the correct heading. My other recommendation would be radically ending zoning laws in areas with housing crises, starting with California and NYC. First, zone everything for multi family, with the only alternative heavy taxation to subsidize multifamily housing construction in next door towns. We could grow so much faster AND reduce inequality by building mass apartment blocks full of studio and one bedroom apartments, while banning “affordable” housing requirements which are always and everywhere a tax on housing and a source of corruption (especially in NYC). We could fix housing affordability in a decade while employing all the men shut out of the job market. Everyone wins.

I got tired of waiting for another pullback so I bought some 1/4 oz AGE at a 4.5% premium and 3 ounces of gold maples near spot ... and it keeps going up 😮. I also bought Newmont yesterday and keep looking for interesting values in the miners. One reason I'm still buying (and pretty aggressively) is that premiums are low on gold and that could (and likely will) change if retail buyers get FOMO. What else can you say but it's crazy times. @ my credit card gives me reward points. I cashed in enough reward points to get it for that price. I pay off my card before I get charged interest and fees. I got 1/4 oz eagle a few years ago just using points. It really helped knock down the price average.

@ you would be completely wrong with that statement. But you believe what you want. It’s just one of many ways to cash in on my credit card reward points. I could have gotten a Yeti cooler, or hundreds of other merchandise items. It takes time to accumulate points, as I only charge what I can pay off without paying interest or fees. If 2is1 would like to confirm this, I would be more than happy record the package opening and provide him with any proof.

I think we will see 3,500 gold by 2026. Keep in mind, this is a sudden price jump. Also, i loved the wallet by summit metals, and found the "elevate" 1/10th oz wallet that holds 10 coins. THAT is my fav.

I started watching Anthony Frisone as well as 2is1 4/5 years ago on youtube a while back and that got me into buying gold. I never even cared if gold increased or stayed where it was around $1700 at the time. In my opinion gold is savings and not an investment-that helps me not look at the price too much.

Gold is going up and it is going to keep going up because the alternative asset in its class, Treasury Bonds, are not good and the entire world knows it. We are nowhere near the top of this bull market and any pullbacks in gold should to be bought aggressively.

The TLT chart begs to differ... Look at the ratio of debt issued via T-Bonds vs T-Bills and T-Notes in the past four year vs historical averages... It is at its lowest ever for a reason: nobody wants the bonds.

I bought what I was comfortable with, over a period of time in 2023. At the time, I mistakenly thought I'd paid too much. It's been a fun ride watching spot prices, since then.

In the US videos, I nearly always see 1 oz coins. In the UK, our go-to coin is a sovereign as the 1 oz britannias are less liquid due to the cost. And when it comes to selling them, they mainly go for on or around Spot. Is it the same in the US?

I could see 3200 by the end of the year. The only reason why I don’t guess higher is because after all of the terminal the first couple of months of the hidden governmental exposure of out of control spending over the years to areas outside of the US, that’s being exposed This quarter. I think maybe it’ll settle down and then the Dollar will get stronger and Precious Metals may even out to 3200 in my humble opinion.

My only hesitation is that this latest rally seems very driven by the news. For example, if Canada and Mexico escape tariffs long term in a month will the rally fizzle or will another news item cause prices to rise? I have no idea, which makes buying gold at these prices seem like I'm at the casino. The last coin I bought was when gold was at 2K--just last year.

I think you are concentrating on the wrong thing. Instead of guessing the new highs we should be figuring out the new lows or support levels so that we can buy on those dips. That's the historical charts I am studying. I'll let you know if I figure out anything.
