Don't invest lumpsum , start in sip mode and keep on doing it. And if you think market is at all time high then you'll miss the rally and if you think it should go more down then you'll miss the dip.

For example dmart have cost moat, cdsl have regulatory moat (only cdsl and nsdl have licence for depository service in India) asian paint have brand moat. Competitors can't take market share from this company easily. And if industry grow they will surely grow without compromise in margins.

inflation tax matlab "MEHENGAAI".... jis se koi bhi bach nahi sakta.....matlab ye ek tarike se indirect tax hai jisko hum sab pay akrte hi hai isko avoid nahi kiya ja sakta...lekin jab bhi hum returns calculate karte hai tab tax deduct hone ke baad sidha profit samajh lete hai but ye ''INFLATION TAX" esi hiden chiz hai jo hum returns pe calculate hi nahi karte but hum pay zarur karte hai....so he wanted to say ke asli returns wahi hote hai jo inflation percentage ko deduct karne ke baad mile

Aaj se 40 saal pehle gold ka rate 1981 me 180 rs. Tha or aj 2021 me 5000 rs. hai ...ap kehte hain ki 9 % ka return diya hai 40 saal me ..9 % p.a means 360 % 40 years ke ...ab 180 + 360% = 828 rs....means apke according abhi gold ka bhav 828 rs. Hona chaiye ..lekin bhav 5000 hai ...means .180 + 2700%= 5040rs. ..means CAGR of gold per annum is 2700%÷40 years=67.5 %..this is real return of gold per year continuously upto 40 years..
