When it comes to gold, SGB is a great option, but the problem is with the maturity period (8 years). The next best option would be Goldbees (ETF) which can be combined with SIP plus Lumpsum approach. For example, personally i prefer something like an SIP of 3k every month and when the market is down, put some lumpsum amount in smaller chunks. Take help of either a moving average indicator or RSI to know when there is a DIP in market.
