What did you think about Goldberg’s 2003-04 run in WWE? Do you think he was right to sign? Let us know in the comments.

They say never meet your idols cuz youll be disappointed. I met Goldberg in 2008 in the “prime of his distain” for wrestling & he still was the coolest most down to earth guy you could ever meet. I met him at an autograph signing that he stayed for an extra hour to make sure he met every fan that showed up. Ya cant tell me that was for the money cuz they didnt pay him extra to stay. He has ALWAYS preached he “does it for the fans” “i took my role very serious & would not be made a joke” he has always stayed true to what he has said & his opinions on wrestling clearly have changed for the better. #WHOSNEXT O & if you watch Paul Heyman on Inside The Ropes talking about his squash match against Lesnar, Heyman even says “we can all aspire to be HALF the father that Goldberg is to his son” he has always been more worried about his own kid first but kids as his fans, him being their superhero mattered more than the money

Kenny and even Sting recall the Booker T/Rock situation wrong. Rock never bumped into Booker T and said "Who are you", this is what Sting viewed and recalled the story wrong, you can tell Sting was not really up on WWE TV during this time. Rock returned that week after a few months' hiatus while filming the Scorpion King. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2icnH-uf96IfZo Booker T was treated well in the WWE overall, he was the one WCW guy that was probably bigger in WWE than WCW.

No what he said was booker who? So sting was pretty close....but still it was completely disrespectful and sting didnt want his legacy tarnished at that time.
@mrpickles7313

@@terrybrown5402 I disagree, it's a work! The Rock always used to ask people what's their name and tell them "it doesn't matter" which is of a similar ilk to "who in the blue hell are you" Booker T went on to become a grand slam champion and triple crown champion in the WWE. I think Sting was being a little sensitive.

@@terrybrown5402 Thats why Booker T is more known than Sting. Booker T's rivalry with The Rock pushed his brand name higher

@@terrybrown5402 Booker T is more known for being in WWE than WCW. Only the most hardcore know his WCW matches. And Sting is a legend people heard of, but rarely witnessed in action. Sting's legacy is just being obscure, but somehow a legend. But since WCW wasn't even good to begin with....

Fantasy booking I have had for a few years: At one of the anniversary shows that all the legends are at right after the first segment, the camera pans in to Gillberg in his gear, doing arm circles, and he goes off balance, tripping over some thing and falling into the Miz. Miz takes offense is only Miz can. He says that “Gilberg isn’t a wrestler he never was a wrestler. He was not even a gimmick. He was an imitation of a gimmick, so why is he here? You know what? You’re in your gear. We are going to have a match tonight. If you can find someone to be your partner then I’ll let you pick who my partner is like. I said you’re no wrestler. No one’s going to want to partner with you if you can’t find a partner it is going to be one on one” Throughout the night see Gilbert asking a couple legends and have them say they’re not medically cleared or that they don’t have their ring gear . Better way to Hilght some of the legends than the APA poker game. When it comes time for the match Miz goes to the ring first Gilberg comes out. Miz confronts him about not having a partner. James Ellsworth comes out. Miz laughs and says he’ll take both of them 2 on 1. Ellsworth tells Miz he’s “got it wrong, I’m your partner”. Miz laughs and asks “who would team with that loser (Gilberg)” Goldberg’s music hits. He takes the mic from Ellsworth and works at Gilberg.” when I was in WCW I never liked you when I came to WWE. I didn’t like you now I understand you let’s get him… Miz.. you’re next!”

I believe it was Prichard or JR said that they wanted Sting and Vince said is he over with fans. No clue apparently. Goldberg has every reason to worry working for WWE. JR, Prichard and Cornette said Vince only lives in his world. Goldberg was just another body till Vince realized how big he was. People may forget Russo wrote the shows during the time WCW was competitive McMahon just tweaked it Russo said the same vince lives in his world only. Goldberg is lucky he didn't get the Dusty Rhoades treatment.

In the history of professional wrestling/sports entertainment nobody brought more intensity, ferocity, power, and a presence like Goldberg. Still love that Gorilla Press Slam and Gorilla Press into a Spear he did. Would not want to be on the receiving end on one of those ha ha.

Gorilla press into powerslam, gorilla press into spinebuster and gorilla press into fall away slam, the latter i have seen only few times. Those are great power moves for a heavyweight wrestler and it was pretty much suitable for him.
