Funny how var can’t see a blatant handball in a fa cup semi final but deems a slight push on the back enough for a review. Consistency in the country from officials is a disgrace

City - no handball against Grealish in the FA Cup semi final. Same stadium, same competition, same type of handball the very next day against United - handball awarded and penalty to Coventry. City vs Brighton City get a free kick for a player slipping over, which they then score from via deflected goal - apparently VAR can't intervene because it's not a "Clear and obvious error"??? On what planet is a player being given a free kick for slipping over NOT a clear and obvious error? Brighton get no penalty for a blatant foul in the City box - clear as day. Chelsea's first goal - offside by a margin, checked by "VAR".. The winning goal - a "foul" - also checked by VAR. The first check took some considerable time... yet in the FA Cup semi final the "handball" wasn't even properly checked and was "cleared" within 30 seconds, as was the Kyle Walker shoulder barge on Jackson I think it was, Walker was the last man and it was in the box as well. A slight push in the box is a foul... but a full shoulder barge to knock the player running through ON GOAL in the box ISN't a foul? City fans can f*ck right off with their "different gravy" crap - it certainly helps when not only do you have a team of good players but you get every decision handed to you. Coupled with the fact that City seem to get goals via deflection (Chelsea FA Cup semi, the "Free kickk" which was a player slipping over, was also a deflected goal), yet Chelsea mainly get deflected goals against them.... when you get almost no luck coupled with being cheated out of correct decisions, it's no wonder you can't win. I thought the foul on the player for the winning goal was a foul, but then equally i've seen worse "fouls" not given in the box...

@@Gtank941 It's a push. But to be fair when you look at how often shoulder barges in the box go unpunished.. Look at the Kyle Walker should barge on Jackson in the FA Cup semi final. Runs towards the player, more than the ball, barges into him leading with his shoulder... walker was the last man and it's in the box. No foul. But they give a foul when it's a push that leads to a goal, and yet won't give a foul for a push that might lead to a penalty. In the same way that they don't give a penalty for a blatant handball in the box, but the very next day, at the same stadium, in the same competition and at the same end of the pitch, they give a handball for an almost identical situation...

Starting to realise that the problem that arises with mark leading the brigade against VAR is that when there’s a valid VAR decision then it’s still being used as reasoning against VAR and discredits the whole movement mark is trying to embark on. As a Chelsea fan that goal was rightfully ruled out.
@thefiestaguy883127 күн бұрын
As a Chelsea fan I agree with you. It's just the inconsistencies going in certain team's favours is what does me.. City vs Chelsea in the semi.... no handball awarded for a blatant handball, checked and "cleared" within 30 seconds and no on field review even took place. Kyle walker shoulder barges Jackson I believe it was, to the ground in the City box. Walker was the last man and there was no other defender anywhere near - it was a goalscoring opportunity but they don't deem that a foul, despite that being more of a "foul" than the push in this game was. City vs Brighton - City get a freekick for a player slipping over. The ball deflects in from it and gives them a 2 goal lead when it should never have been a foul in the first place - VAR doesn't review it and intervene despite the fact it's a CLEAR and OBVIOUS error... Brighton don't get a penalty and VAR doesn't even look at it properly when it's a clear penalty. That's the kind of crap that we're fed up of... it's not that the likes of City aren't a good side - because they are, but it's the way in which almost every decision seems to go in their favour, regularly.

But why wasnt arsenals third goal against us ruled out, Gabriels foul on Madueke leading to their goal was way worse than tis one. I dont really complain about either decision, but the problem is that they reached different conclusions. Inconsistensy is the problem
@robfortune625 күн бұрын
@@kongkiiingI'm still undecided on whether or not that was a foul but it probably was, luckily it didn't really matter in the end regardless
@kongkiiing25 күн бұрын
@@robfortune6 for me personaly that wasnt a foul, but the problem is that it was different decisions made. For example Joelintons push on Gabriel earlier in the season was way worse than both of these decisions- but that still stood as no «clear and obvios» error. Considering that conclusion, its crazy that Badiashiles very soft push is clear and obvious mistake.
@robfortune625 күн бұрын
@@kongkiiingI think the Gabriel incident is irrelevant because Newcastle should've gotten a red card in the first half and the game would've been entirely different from there, I didn't think the push was that bad though, whereas Gabriel actually grabbed Madueke and pulled him to the ground, so that one is entirely different to a push and it is a foul tbh, the main reason I didn't care too much was because we were already 2-0 up and we would've won anyway, but it still shouldn't have counted. In terms of the Villa vs Chelsea incident, I already forgot it tbh, I'll watch it again in a while and see lmao
