Messi and Ronaldo are incredibly lucky to never have very serious injury in their career. You are using Survivorship bias by mentioning those two, how about Van Basten, R9, Wilshere, etc all great players whose careers were hampered due to injury proneness, do you think that they didn't condition their body?.
