How much I loved this game. The magic of the 80s is immortal! The ending was truly an incredible twist: the whole story was a video game played by three kids in an arcade. The game explodes and the enemies come out and chase the kids, who are in turn chased by the heroes who want to save them. How I would have liked to see the chaos they would have unleashed in the city.

While in the Army, my roommate and I had this arcade game in our barracks room. You had to enter a quarter and everything 😆. We also had what we called the Wall of Thunder ( 8- 12in speakers,) we also had a fully stocked 7ft bar. We had to stack our bunks to achieve all of this. Almost forgot, we had the world’s most comfortable couch. Our room was party central in a co-ed barracks. Those were the days

You know, it'd be a REALLY cool if a paper texture effect were added, like the one from Okami. I think the combination of these smoothed pixels animated over a scroll would tie in very well with the games actual cutscenes. Like an ancient tale magically come to life. 🤔😄

I could 1CC this game back in the day, but only with the dwarf, Gilius Thunderhead. His range is slightly longer than the other two (and Ax-Battler's range is slightly longer than Tyris'), countered by his weaker magic. (But since it only took four potions to get him to max, his magic was also more spammable)
