yes it is based on hit%. The more u deal the higher the score. if you swing and miss it is 0%, if you do a regular attack and hit it is 100%, if a reg attack and hit 2 enemies is 200%, if u do a double hit and hit 1 enemy is 200%, a double hit and hit 2 enemies is 400%, hit 3 enemies with a double hit is 600%, the score at the end is the hit %, - how much life u lost.(not sure exact amout removed from being hit). if u do what the dumbasses in previous vid for world record did and swing at the air for fun, you are reducing your score with every swing, just like those retards (who are so concieted they insult ppl who point out swinging at the air and missing lowers their score. aka, any regular person who plays and doesn't swing at air, can beat their score. because they are concieted douchebags who insult anyone who knows more than them,vs actually listening to advice to improve score )

@alexkidd253 "Extra points" are made with advanced techniques like multiple kills. If you are interested you can check the guide by Gemant on our web site. Unfortunatelly it's in italian, but you can try to translate it with some free online tool :-).

Gilius' Axe is always golden in the Arcade version. It's silver in Genesis/MD version

plz, I have a question. Is it possible in Mame to start with 3 lifes with 3 squares? (instead of 2 lifes with 3 squares like you used in this video). I am saying that because on the arcade we played with 3 lifes and 3 squares, and we just made around 350 points. I wonder if by playing with 2 lifes and 3 squares make things easier, like getting you extra points to get over 600 points.

no, number of lives and squares shouldnt matter, score is based on hit % - lives lost, but if u can recover ALL life lost with the meat before end stage, being hit shouldnt matter.

The crazy thing is just what he did to even get that far... I mean I did a 1CC of this game before, but holy hell even that is not enough. I had no idea what this game wanted to get a score that high. I'm the current world record holder for Golden Axe 2, but that game basically involves destroying everything, getting everything, and not dying. Quite straight forward. This... this one has some seriously insane things that need to be done that no normal person would do.

@@Hotshotter3000 also can't miss a swing, a missed swing adds 0% to your score. the maximum score so far Possible with 0 mistakes is over 2k score.

the lifes and squares shouldnt matter, as long as u get max hits per swing, & no swings that miss + not getting hit u can get higher score than what they have in this video
