'Golden Bachelor' Gerry Turner Says ‘Theresa Knows What the Truth Is' After Exposé

"The Golden Bachelor" Gerry Turner is weighing in on a recent exposé about his past love life. "The timing is a bit suspect, but the reality is I haven't really given that a whole lot of thought. I know what the truth is. Theresa [Nist] knows what the truth is," he told Access Hollywood's Kit Hoover. "We're more interested in the right now and the here and all the positives and the fun things we have to do now than looking back on some of that stuff. Really it doesn't deserve any more attention than that." Gerry and Theresa do have a lot to celebrate! The pair got engaged on the season finale of "The Golden Bachelor" and the 71-year-old told Access all about the sweet moment in the fantasy suite when he knew she was the one. But even though Gerry and Theresa got their happy ending, watching the show back wasn't easy. Theresa told Access watching Gerry and Leslie Fhima in the fantasy suite was "difficult." Speaking of Leslie, Gerry admitted he doesn't regret telling her that he loved her and talked about her confronting him on "After the Final Rose." "She deserves every one of those emotions," he said. Gerry and Theresa will get married in a televised ABC wedding special on Jan. 4.

It is very easy to feel love for someone when you are caught up in the experience. A very strong like for someone can certainly feel like love in special moments with someone. He felt love for her in those moments. But feelings can be fleeting. Real love revealed itself to him when he made such a profound connection with Theresa. I'm glad the interviewer brought up the allegations of the former girlfriend. It shouldn't be brushed aside because it speaks to his character and integrity. His TV persona was a man who was grieving the loss of his wife and hadn't dated much due to grief. Quickly dating someone else and living with her for 2 almost years, making her pay half, putting her out--these are huge red flags that shouldn't be ignored. The franchise made a lot of money off the Golden Bachelor; the TV Gerry and the real Gerry seem to be 2 different people. Theresa needs to move with caution but she's a little suspect based on her interaction with the woman who told her to "zip it."

A person who would do what he did to Leslie is deeply disconnected from himself. So what if he was having those feelings in the moment. We’re not children, we have to be mature adults and consider the consequences of what we say. In that moment you Gerry didn’t know for sure you were going to pick her and therefore you need to zip it until you were getting down on one knee. This is the biggest red flag to me. I’m beginning to really doubt everything about you. I saw the video of your so-called ex. And I’m not saying I believe her. I was wrong. he made the right choice, and i actually think this will work long term. I DO wish he had been more respectful towards Leslie, or at least more careful with his words. I understand where she is coming from. But i dont think he is the right guy for her either. I've been "in love with" guys that weren't the right guy for me. I just hate to see her hurt and I'm proud of her for speaking up the way she did. I wish them all happiness.

There were other factors difference in religion, age difference and where they would live. In the fantasy suite they agreed on making a compromise as to where to live. I was thinking Gerry seemed too nice He avoided answering questio about his past. The otherr thing is that this couple are both widowed. Leslie has not resolved her divorces and quickly slid into victim role.However, Gerry really shocker her.
