This show is an insult to marriage and to grown women. Out of curiosity I watched the first 15 minutes of it and was disgusted by it. We women don't need to compete for a man who is at best ... 'meh' .... he got his ego stroked and some money out of the deal and so did the show's producers, at the expense of several vulnerable women making fools of themselves for their children and grandchildren to watch.

When they weren't living together and married but supposedly sooo in love . . . that alone is the writing on the wall. They were supposed to go on their honeymoon in Italy no less and they called it off weeks before they leave . . they can't stand each other . . IMO, I think the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise is a publicity/marketing ploy for the pure means of show biz profit, with some rare couples that actually did/do fall in love for real. So, I side along with Grandma's opinion, which aligned with mine, when she thought awhile back that Gerry & Theresa's marriage wasn't going to last. I, too, am surprised that their marriage ended much earlier than what we anticipated it!

I agree with you Grandma. I think Theresa was all in and Gerry was so fake. All that crying and I just feel he was putting on an act the entire time. I agree holding hands and saying they are both going to go out and find love and that they still love each other is a lie. I think Theresa saw the real Gerry after spending time with him and they just didn't click anymore. She likes to eat healthy, and he doesn't. She exercises and I think he plays pickleball. When she visited him in Indiana they went out to bars and met all his friends. I don't think that is Theresa's lifestyle. Plus, he wanted her to quit her job in the interview at his house and she made a face implying, dream on. And I don't trust him and possibly he is seeing someone else, but Theresa would not reveal something like that. Very few couples on the Bachelor ever make it to marriage or longevity. So, what's new.

I applied to be on the show before the lockdowns. I told them I realized that I was out of their age range. However, they need to have a show for us older people because we need love too! Around 5-6 months went by and low & and behold, the "Senior edition" was announced, I couldn't believe it! But then covid and production came to a halt. Now post covid, and here we are! Sure, it could have been a coincidence. However, why did they keep the same format for all those years? And then months after I give them the idea they go and do it? Sure, we'll just say that, but I know this was all me! I don't want any money or fame, just maybe a thank you, and let you know that I am so happy that even though I did not get picked that I can help others find love, or at least hope. I explain all on my KZbin channel. So if anyone knows how to read body language. They will know that I am telling that absolute truth.

They do need to ensure that these contestants are willing to move since at that age, there are families, kids, grandkids, etc. and so many older folks are not willing to move.
