you gotta stop focusing on gear mate... 10 years back I used to see people making movies way better than we do now with cameras that had 1080p at 30p only, they only chose good timing and had ND filters thats all no gimbal no nothing. Its marketing that lets you and me as artists hunged for gear though we have everything in our hands that is waiting for our vision to be expressed. Focus on stories and you'll succeed.

just picked up a used gx85, could you let me know what Picture profile and adjustments you used? Cine-like D hack or natural I am assuming? Thanks.

For these shots, I used the hacked CinelikeD, -5 Sharpness, -5 Noise Reduction, and -3 Saturation. I think the LUT I used to color grade recommended those adjustments

Lovely images. The only thing that is missing, for me, in the HX85 is an audio input. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)

I agree. For the price, the GX85 for me was worth it despite its drawbacks. If it had an audio input and maybe a fully articulating screen it would be perfect!

So I didn't actually use 5-axis stabilization here (though I probably could have). Because I was using vintage lenses for most of the shots, I only had in-body stabilization so some shots needed to be stabilized in post.

Incredible! The quality of the low light is amazing for the camera, I have a G85 so this is super inspiring. Can I ask how much color grading affects this?

I only did minimal color grading-some color correction and then experimenting with LUTS. For the low light shots, I also added noise reduction

Nope! For these shots I went handheld. Some of the shots were stabilized in-post though
