Another amazing Civil War relic hunt for me had a couple real surprises I wasn’t expecting on this hunt And I was fortunate enough to pull silver and gold out of the ground with my XP Deus 2!!!

Cliff that's a GREAT spot you got to detect and save some history. Me and my son met you at the Dalton bottle show. Thank you for the words of encouragement to my son about metal detecting and searching for old bottles. He loves to go when we get the chance. Because nowadays alot of kids would rather stay inside and play video games or something. Thanks again Cliff!

I read somewhere years ago that wives/mothers would sew coins into the jackets of their soldiers before they went off to war. It gave them a good way to keep from losing their money so easily. That's why there are so many CW coins with holes in them.

Great finds....but what battlefield are you hunting? What happened in that area during the civil war?? What famous war hero might those relics once belonged to?? Relics are cool but the audience would appreciate the relics more if you explain the historical context behind the artifacts...especially if you're gonna name your channel ReachingHistory...just a suggestion for future vids And for those that say "you need to keep the hunting grounds secret" i get it...but there are ways to keep the specifics out of it and still provide historical context of the area and relics

I love watching your videos and congrats on the awesome finds. I just got my Deus 2 about 3 weeks ago and I’m learning it. I hope to get on some good sites to hunt. I’m in SC. Is the Deep HC program working good for you?
@ReachingHistory4 ай бұрын
It definitely does I start on general mode in most of my campsites, to locate signals and switch from general to a Deus fast mode that I have tweaked then after I think I’ve got most of the stuff I’ll switch over to Deep HC to see what I missed all around you cannot beat the machine on performance!!

@@ReachingHistory yes from what I’ve seen so far it really performs well. It has so much to offer as far as being able to tweak it to your liking. I found my first Mercury dime (1937) using Deep HC Friday. It was about 8-10 inches down in a spot that I have hunted before. I was so excited about that one but I definitely want to get on some relics.
