Stunning work- this painting is gorgeous-and definitely looks like our California Coastline. Tonight's painting is beautiful, love this happy, poppy painting! Thank you for showing what happened when you used the Luminous Yellow for the poppies under-painting; I've noted this in my QC Journal - even made an example. As highlights, the Luminous colors really make the poppies colors POP. Great tip showing how you use the Inktense pencils to sketch in the poppies. Thanks Ginger and Jon for another fab Monday - watch out for the icebergs HAH TTFN 🎨🖌☺

Such a gorgeous lesson so full of tips. I am so happy that I learned about not using luminous paints as a base color. I tend to blame my lack of skills or myself when something goes wrong while I am painting.... I need to go easier on myself and "go with the flow" and do as you did. Realize that something isn't working and make a change. Be easier on myself and enjoy the process more. I love flowers and love them in either landscapes or in vases... One or the other is FABULOUS as far as I can concerned. As we say in Wisconsin : "A horse apiece." Thank you both so much.. .You are the best.

'the interesting thing for me was when I shared the paint color changes with my daughter she did not know either. I think this was a good video if alls we did was just share the weird paint changing colors. thanks so much for being there monday night. art hugs, from Jon and me.

Gorgeous painting Love it I'm curious to see if the reason the titanium white appeared Grey or brown is because the other color was so bright. Like when you look at a flashlight you see the glowing blobs for awhile after... wondering if looking away to reset... like resetting or re calibration of the white balance on a camera... would have helped. Will be interesting to experiment with... I have gray wall in my studio that I have to look at when I uses a lot of the same colors ( like pinks) it helps as a refresher.

I go over them at the beginning of the tutorial. However the color that I love the best for orange poppies if Cadium Orange by Golden paint.
