It could also be that because of how they died respectively, and in the case of CC, his head was crushed by Fredbear (the Bite of ‘83). This could’ve meant that his eyes would ultimately fail since either the optic nerve would be damaged or stretched, or his eyes were also damaged. This is just a theory (as I don’t know much about biology at the time of writing this), so please don’t be offended if you don’t think it’s true.

Golden Freddy is probably just a spirit, making a form or body for itself from memories. It's both a spring lock suit and a modern animatronic, which is impossible due to the fact that the spring lock suits were decommissioned by 1985 meaning there's no suit of that kind to be upgraded. The memory centric gameplay of the mini games in Fnaf 2, 3 and the flashbacks in 4 seemingly play right into this. As they are memories of both spirits and the actual robots themselves twisted together to reveal the story. In the mini game 'give gifts, give life' for example the puppet fails to reach a 5th body to give them a gift causing a Golden Freddy jumpscare to end the mini game. 'Happiest day' in Fnaf 3 backs this up further as after recieving a cake from the puppet, after a series of events in other mini games are completed, the 5th individual stood to the far side of the table on their own, dons a Fredbear mask on their own. All the other spirits are already masked like in 'give gifts, give life' but the one spirit seemingly conjures it's own mask from thin air in this moment before the spirits seemingly leave and balloons fly to the ceiling. That mask donned didn't come from the puppet so the spirit had to have made it themself and if you brighten up a Fnaf 3 ending screen the mask belonging to this spirit is either Black with lit eyes in the bad ending OR seemingly gone in the good ending implying that the mask wasn't a physical object unlike those surrounding it.

Actually it’s because golden Freddy is a spring lock suit. Fred bear to be more exact, golden Freddy is just an empty suit with no endo inside him so he only attacks with his head because it’s the only thing that can technically move due to it not being connected to the rest of the body. Meanwhile yes it is Cassidy possessing the head, and golden Freddy in general. The crying child possesses shadow Freddy

I’m sure that under ShatteredVictim (A theory where BV’s agony would possess Fazbear things related to his entire life), Cassidy was able to have memories of the Bite of ‘83 where BV ends up being chomped.
