@user-ij4fl1ns8x Congrats 👏! I'll share an honest opinion with you. Counseling is all about helping people and guiding them to find their own strengths to resolve their emotional and mental problems. It's related to mental health and psychological stuff, and it's fascinating if you want to learn about the beauty of human behavior and thoughts.

However, it has its downsides. If you are not into talking, mental health, or psychological stuff, then it's your choice to opt for it or not. I am not discouraging you, though. It can be tough because you have to interact with people, have the confidence to be vocal, and there are lots of presentations in academic settings. It can be emotionally and mentally draining sometimes when things don't go your way. If you are more interested in medical tasks like what nurses or other medical professionals do, you might regret choosing this course, especially when you start comparing yourself with peers in different courses. I experienced some periods of regret too, but I think after completing the third year, I have come to accept it.

@@user-ij4fl1ns8x Nonetheless, you'll achieve personal and professional development. You'll learn a lot about yourself-your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors-on a deep level. It's an eye-opening experience. You'll also learn many theories that explain why a particular person is experiencing certain mental issues and how to help them.
