My favourite female climber! Others came and left, and she constantly had to adapt to the new style and youth of the competitors! I'm so happy she postponed her retirement to be at the Olympics, and it did pay off! Now she has a beautiful daughter with Tomoa!

The send at 2:10 was crazy. My body was aching just watching. So impressive

I really hope her and her climbing style will still be able to finally win a world championship, or maybe even the olympics ^^. The day I'll be able to climb anything with the grace she does, I'll stop climbing (wich wont happen lol).

It's not possible to do justice to the legend that is Akiyo in only 5 minutes. I could watch a feature film of this lady climbing. If they are ever making a Spider Woman movie they could not do better than Akiyo :)

One day i will damage my computer mouse from sweat because i sweat so hard when i watch climbing videos. My hand is literally wet after 2 minutes. Amazing content btw

Your post triggered my imagination. If there would be a mouse shaped like artificial hold, with the same rough texture I think I might buy one :)

I thought it was just me thinking that my hands are more sweat than usual watching climbing videos

Did she win after watching the other complete their final boulder ?

no :( Janja came in and crushed in a typical 2019 superhuman Janja way, so Akiyo took second.

Kind of sad for akiyo. Now with janja at the top, chances for winning once are gone

🐲 It is so sad that there were no climbing competitions in the last months. When will they start again? Is this a lost worldcup year ??? For me since begin of June the indoor-climbing is normal again! COVID-19 is nearly history. Go back to normal... Akiyo is one of my favorite climber girls... she is so flexible and strong! 👍 .
@malteschaper37824 жыл бұрын
It may be getting back to normal but it's not normal yet. I go to the climbing gym, too, but there are a lot of safety measures that you can't easily do when hosting a worldcup or a similar competition. And honestly, why risk the health of athletes, staff and spectators now? Wait 6 month and you can have a much safer event.

@@malteschaper3782 Wait 6 months and then what? This will be january and covid-20 will be in bloom. Personally I would really like to hear an opinion of climbers. What they think about all this situation.

There was an Austria-Germany-Switzerland competition last week and this week again. Just search for Austria climbing competition

@@malteschaper3782 The athlets actually have a very low risk to get sick. But they suffer a lot not having competitions. They can hold the comp. without audience, why not?
