I stayed at the Golden Nugget recently. I was initially supposed to be in the Carson Tower but took the upgrade to the Rush Tower. It was a fabulous room in the Rush. I think it was just over $100 per night Sunday-Wednesday. It's a pretty great property. Great presentation! Keep up the good work!

I stayed at the Nugget a few years ago but I was in the other tower all the way in back with my view towards the Strip. So I didn't get any of the Noise from Fremont St at night. I enjoyed it though the big problem with staying downtown is the Huge crowds there at night. My Fav place to Play was at Binion's as I knew one of the floor managers there from my many trips to Atlantic City where he worked before. I can drive to AC in just 3hrs. Bottom line is if I wanted to stay anywhere downtown it would be the Nugget again.

I stayed at the Four Queens when I was in Vegas last spring. I LOVE FREMONT STREET. The Four Queens had a great location, but the room (north tower, the cheapest) was pretty seedy and run down. I kept thinking that next time I stayed downtown that I'd try the Golden Nugget. The room you showed us was a lot nicer than the room I had at the Four Queens, but there is one problem. The Four Queens has no resort fees. I was paying a bit over $50 a night weekdays and about $100 for weekends. The Golden Nugget is quite a bit more. I guess you get what you pay for. Maybe I'll take a look at the El Cortez.

Hi Bic! Sorry for my late reply. How exciting you stayed at the Four Queens. I absolutely love Freemont Street as well! The Four Queens definitely has location going for them. But that's very interesting to hear about your room being seedy and run down. The Four Queens is on my list of hotels to review, just haven't made it there yet. You make a great point that the Four Queens has no resort fee, so they probably get a lot of people booking there because of that. I love the El Cortez, it's such a classic old hotel. But some rooms are certainly more rundown than others. Looks at the photos of the rooms closely on their website before choosing! Again, thank you for commenting! The Golden Nugget is where we stay all the time. We have always had great service and the price with the location puts it at the very top of our hotels to stay at. By the way, we have stayed at the all on the strip, and for value, the Golden Nugget beats them all.

$50=$100 room. Reminds me of a strip casino that offered me $8 room that was actually $74 after fees and taxes. Lol

Lol we stayed in that same tower room a few years ago and really didn't like it 😉 But Golden Nugget is a nice hotel overall and that pool is really cool 💙

sounds like you guys had the same experience I had in the Carson tower a few years ago. I had to really take a chance by staying in the tower again. I didn't die this time so I was happy about that 😆 Thank you for watching and I really dig you guys!
