Agree with the need for a Recliner! I have my 70 peninsula in the center of my loft. On one side is my desk, on the other an old Lay-Z-boy and a futon. I wind up spending more time here next to the tank, than in my living room. I don't think I would enjoy it nearly as much, if there weren't so many seats near it. And my PC of course. Though I don't have a studio to worry about either. Mine is also a water box, I Love the tank. It's a 70 Gallon "Clear" series that was bought for freshwater, I wound up drilling the in and out flows to incorporate a DIY sump (built into said desk), and converted it to marine use. They have Beautiful quality tanks. As for suggestions: how about a mangrove tank? You already have a good representation of different environments, a mangrove "forest" system is relatively easy; so long as it's very light stocking. And they grow only a foot a year, so keeping a tropical bonsai is strait forward. The only two things would be; you would likely need to upgrade the lights as they grow (based entirely on height), and pay close attention to the species. Red Mangrove are relatively easy, they don't need to be sprayed or wiped down, just make sure they don't have their roots damaged. Mr. Sprung recently did a video with WWC which provides a solid overview if your have a follow on interest. I'm just trying to think of something cool, that's also very low maintenance.
@MyFirstFishTank3 жыл бұрын
This is a really good idea. I've always been interested in a mangrove setup, something easy to take care off, cool root structure, dimly lit to provide a kind of eerie feel to it. And I've never done one so it would be great to learn. I'll take this under consideration for sure! Thanks!

The reason I say pet fish for your empty tank is: 1. because I have a single trigger in my 90 with some live rock, and i'll tell you - its a perfect compliment to my reef systems. It's like have a dog you don't have to walk. 2. Pet fish, a lot of the time can't be kept with corals - so you lose out on the pleasure of some marine fish that you otherwise could not keep. 3.
