Golden Retriever Pros and Cons of owning one | Is a Retriever right for you?

A friend of mine had one - poor unfortunate dog. You do need to have a lot of time available to look after a dog, especially a Golden. Don't think you can just leave them alone all day, then go out all evening and just go to bed....and then "get up, rinse and repeat". That's just cruelty.
