I am amazed at how selfless he is. He fed 4-5 great passes to team mates cutting to the basket for fast 2 point lay ups. In those instances he probably could have tried to be "the big guy" and muscle past his defender and used his height advantage to force a basket and draw a foul. But instead he played heads up, more efficient, and selfless ball to still ensure the 2 points. Smart

Barely, about 30.5%. But if just one more went in it's 5/13 he'd be about 38.5%, which is a great number for high volume. It's one miss away from being a good percentage. Far from terrible.

@@mirko8435 Sorry for the TL:DR, but it's a good debate topic and you seem reasonable to debate with given your humility to admit being wrong about the percentage. In any case, you're welcome to have that opinion, but I think that's an outdated mindset. The game has changed. Other than maybe giannis (who is an alien in his own right), you can't be an elite offensive force in the modern era without being a 3 pt threat. Wemby and the spurs know this. They're developing him for the future of the nba, not the past. Having him be a high volume 3 shooter will open up driving lanes, allow him to operate with skill more than strength (which he may always lack in), and put less physical toll on his frame. Nobody his size has ever had a healthy career, so being preemptive about protecting his health is important. Plus, operating on the perimeter will allow him to utilize his vision and playmaking like the the other modern great passing bigs like jokic, sabonis, etc. The spurs would be selling his skillset short by forcing him inside more often. The worst part of his offensive game is his traditional post game. He's just not strong enough, and may never be. Why focus on his one weakness rather than capitalize on his strengths? Shooting is one of the most learnable skills, and he's already so close to being efficient from deep that in another year or two, with the full green light to use and develop that shot, he could be the most unguardable player in nba history. He's got the longest wingspan basically ever at 7'4 with a high release. It's a deadly weapon even at middling percentages, and it's only going to get better.
