My favorite part of the weak side playstyle isnt even the high % shot, but the potential to kill the offensive glass due to the positioning and manipulation of the defense. It can really enable those crazy deficit outcomes when wielded by a team with a strong sentiment to the mental aspects of the game. If you get some bulldogs out there and a solid prolific C thats always gonna dive into the paint after the pick they make........to team box out and rebound and shut off the other team....anyone can sweep up those loose balls etc....Looking forward to the evolution of this modern era with rosters like the bucks, 76ers even denver looking the way they do. Only time will tell things are getting "bigger, and faster" lol its nuts the era MAGIC dreamed of playing in is upon us

Pick n roll is one of the most difficult rotations to defend... if you stop it then the offensive transition can be two on one or a open lay up but if you don't stop it results into uncontested dunks lay ups threes.

Spurs just execute it so well bc ball iq wise as a squad they always knew and had measures for plan A-C, and always used all 24s for the highest % shot they could get, which is favorable to this playstyle and speaks to pops sentiment to strong mental approach to the game, He really is one of those if we play the game right the longest we will win...and best yet if you can set a tone or dictate the pace of the game.........you win from the first second to the last. Its a respectable brand of ball, of which i enjoyed watching kobe and my lakers combat triumph and also lose to its a respectable brand of ball. At the highest level of competition, some of the hardest competition are those robotic teams that may not always be the greatest from an athletic level but are always in it mentally, its very taxing realizing or finding out how hard it is for you yourself to perform when you realize your opponent has a mental edge, or your gonna be in for a long night bc your gonna face a defender that isnt going to let up once all night, or a pitcher that isnt going to give you any easyones

up until around 2 minutes in it's all motion weak fist. see how the post uses the cross screen and then immediately sprints up to set the ball screen on the other side, which makes it more difficult for the guy guarding him to hedge or switch.

in fact, you can see traces of it later, it's just not run as cleanly and they're setting up a stagger for the cross screener, not just looking for the pnr

NAH weak side as in load 1/2 of the court including(ideally) a center setting a pick outside the paint in order to draw their matchup also out of the paint. Then a cutter usually a SF dunking type to either post "usually(esp in lebrons case)" the side with 1 sole defender....they blow by a couple passes from teh top of the key to the corner for a base line bounce pass dunk......or reverse corner 3 to top of the key to a pass internally to the cutter for a dunk.....best done when either the center passes the last pass from the top of the key to the paint, or the PG/primary ball handler(bc ideally best on ball defender is on them too) so you ideally remove best on ball defender(guard) and off ball defender(big) away from the play defensively....constant picks and cuts can refresh ones opportunity to score. Pop does this well the MIA lebron teams(bread and butter) LEbrons bread and butter. Its nice bc it promotes defensive foul trouble by encouraging confrontation with "late help defenders" under the rim and usually does prompt foul trouble and further driving plays. Something i respect when executed properly esp in a playoff setting. When paired with a savy scorer/shooting lineup can be devastating bc now the scoring option of (under the rim) becomes seemingly infinite in regards to range and getting a "high percentage shot". GSW being a prime example of this BUT IMO more interestingly in regards to player personal, have teams that can present this playstyle at a more ideal or better rate(if their players played harder/better) DEN, MIN, PHI, MIL. They have the pieces to play this modern 1/2 court style to a higher margin than GSW IMO based on their line up strengths and centers that can shoot and pass at a very high level. Though Nothing beats skill or star power, WADE and lebron single handedly ran this with wade or lebron being the top of key pick-n roll initator while the other had the roll of 1 on 1 iso rolling to the basket for a nice lay up. I really wish Kobe had someone like this in his career, He had it with shaq but it was more of a lemme post you and set you up.........damn shaq i set you up good and you kicked it out still.....6 s on the clock time for kobe to operate........LOL being forced into this role since day 1.
