I watched Romero Duno years ago and noticed the punching power right away if he was well schooled he would the next big thing. U can tell he hits harder than usual and got heart, every shot he threw was a power punch that actually caused him to slow down in this fight specifically but he showed he can hang around even in the later rounds. And he’s got a big chin only problem is he is flat footed s boxer who uses footwork or maybe the ring to their advantage can give him problems but that power is crazy. I thought golden boy would do everything to promote him. This fight should definitely get a rematch for a clear winner he started off winning but after he got tired his opponent turned the tables before he quit at the end. Ryan García stands a chance if he does not getknocked out and its a 12 round fight right? He can’t afford to slow down because maybe 6-8-11 rounds if he takes those power shots it can debilitate which can be disastrous.

Rodriguez realised there was still 2 rounds left and with that big bloody gash on his cheek, his eye will likely be covered with blood each time he gets hit on that cheek. Moreover, that left hook by Duno to Rodriguez' body clearly snapped off his sails taking away much needed stamina to continue two more rounds. Rodriguez is one tough nail like Cesar Juarez and they are both very exciting fighters. Duno on the other hand was too anxious to deliver a KO blow that he keeps forgetting to cover himself up. At any rate, this type of fights and fighters are what make boxing a riveting sport to watch. Kudos to Duno.

Rodriguez was the experienced veteran and it showed in the fight, he was more economical with his output, stayed composed, and was more technically sound. But Duno was learning and adapting as the fight went on, I don't think Rodriguez was expecting him to start pushing forward with those body shots in the late rounds, he lowkey hurt Rodriguez to the body early in round 7 before the last minute knockdown, but the commentators didn't seem to notice. Changing up his attack momentarily was a veteran move. You can tell Duno gained a wealth of knowledge from this fight. I have nothing but respect for both of these warriors and Rodriguez definitely deserves a rematch.

It is pretty clear in the slo-mo that Duno's jab hit Rodriguez right cheek which was already inflamed from punches received which is why it busted open. Then right after that their foreheads bumped slightly. It was a freakin punch that did it and they would not mention it. It was a great fight but disgraced by the commentators.
