Quite a bit of variance in color. Is that due to geographic location?

Hi Richard. yes it would be possible, though I think it is more to do with bloodlines. some lines having more colour than others and then that would lead to more birds in that geographic location having more colour as they breed.

Are you sure that the extra color isn't a sign of fatty liver disease? I have one like this that I just rescued but her extra color is much more extreme and she has fatty liver disease. It's often caused by an all seed diet and lack of exercise. It can be reversed through a healthier diet of fresh fruit and vegetables, and plain pellets, plus exercise if caught early enough.

No it's not from fatty liver disease. And always fed the best diet including sprouts, fruits and vegetables. Some Jardines do have more colour even to the point where the bird is nearly all orange.

The video was 3 years ago. At that time I thought it was a great song for the video, but when I look back at it now I could have used a song a bit more subtle, but it is what it is and there is no changing it now. This is the same for some of the other videos. There are some videos where the music is still suitable and enjoyable even after so much time has passed. But thanks for your opinion. 😍
