Final level of Krollywood's fan remake of GoldenEye inside Far Cry 5's Arcade Editor, Caverns & Cradle! This is the last available level for the remake. Krollywood is currently working on finishing Aztec, but first will do some multiplayer levels and PC players like me will have to wait until they're ported over so that'll take a while. As always absolutely love the accuracy and respect to the source material he had while creating these - on a PS4!
Of course this doesn't replace an actual remake like XBLA or what we could've got GE25, but if anything, it just confirms yet again that the interest for a GoldenEye remake is there, and that even with some modernized touches here and there, we'd still love it. Most agreed that these levels are better recreations than what Wii / Reloaded gave us, and I think these edits with Yannick's music also should clear any doubts people had with the game "not feeling right" without the N64 OST. Great work and my congrats to Krollywood. I sincerely hope one day these fan creations pushes someone high up to do something with the game officially.
This is faithful recreation of the full GoldenEye campaign (excluding the bonus levels) within the limits of the Far Cry 5 level editor. Played on PC in 4K 60FPS with Ultra settings and minimal HUD settings. Featuring the dynamic soundtrack composed by Yannick Zenhäusern AKA GoldenZen's from the cancelled GoldenEye 25 project.

Krollywood has a WIP of Aztec but it isn't quite finished yet, it'll take a while for that and then for it to get ported to PC / Xbox. As for Egyptian, he said there's probably no plans to do it as it's a boring level, specially with Far Cry 5's limitations, and I definitely agree on that.

I can't say these were my favorite levels even in the original, but the faithfulness of these final two remakes blows me away. They even managed to get the chain lamps and hexagonal doors working (kinda)! The environmental lighting really breathes new life into the Caverns, and I had no idea the FC5 editor could handle a structure like the Cradle. Terrific job by Krollywood, and by you for editing in the awesome Janus Files OST.

@@krollywood1405 Ah well yes I don't anticipate getting FC6 anyway. FC5's arcade mode will endure some time. I imagine doing all of PD would be a herculean effort compared to GE, but I'd love to at least see some of the iconic locations like the DD building, the Carrington Institute and Villa, and Chicago G5 buildings. I imagine some of the other locations would not work so well with the FC5 aesthetic; and even the mentioned ones might require some re-contextualizing to make it make sense visually. Doing Goldeneye was inspired since so many assets from the game have that vintage cold war feeling.

Fantastic work as usual by Krollywood. The radio equipment exploding from being punched gave me a chuckle. Graslu's punch is like a Swiss army knife, can do a little of everything. Favorite part of the video was notTrevelyan surviving for a brief moment after the fall. It's the little things. That elevator music though... Inspired.

I always see Golden Eye referenced all the time but hardly anyone ever mentions Perfect Dark. It's literally a super enhanced version of Golden Eye. Spent an ABSURD amount of time on that masterpiece. I to this day even listen to some Perfect Dark music when I play shooters sometimes. Everything about that game was phenomenal.

Playing the original when it came out was fun and frustrating. Cutting edge back in 1997. Now my son has the original on his XBOX. Just finished replaying it. I always wondered what it would look like as an updated version. Amazing while staying true to the original.

Gotta love that scripted "door" at 1:10. I believe there is actually a "door" like like that in Doom 64 and there is a trap in that game as well where the walls close in on you but it's actually different sections of the floor rising towards you at such a fast rate that it looks like the walls are moving

Yeah, all scripted doors in this remake are just letters. Most the letter "I". That's because of you can't make scripts with all objects and FarCry has no sliding doors. 😅

What a BLAST! I have a question for you: is it normal to laugh out loud during your playthrough? Hilarious body physics, “sucker punches” (even Natalya!), “sucker shots” (especially in Train), random punches on things, enemy voices, communists aiming at nowhere… and the list go on and on! Not only the remake of Golden Eye on Far Cry 5 is important, but you playthrough made it remarkable - not only on skill, but at comedy side too :)

Hey what assets did you remove from Golden Cry? I'm trying to get the russian audio to work at the moment. Just feels weird to play this game and you're hearing a bunch of hicks in scientist suits. lol

Nothing from the main levels, just replaced "Eye" with "Cry" at the start, changed the names like Natalya to Natasha, etc. The levels are unmodified. For the Russian voices you must go to the installation folder, data_final, pc and change the name of patch_russian.dat and .fat to patch_english.fat and .dat - same for the feminine ones. Make sure to backup the English files!
