They make the movie so weirdly different

You do realize that movies and video games are two very different mediums, yes? And you're aware that the movie came out two years before the game, right? They did not "make the movie so weirdly different." Rare adapted the movie into a video game and did what they had to do to make it fit the format. You cannot say that the original source is "weirdly different" when compared to its adaptation. It's an understandable difference, especially when it should be clear which one came first.

How is the movie weirdly different? Did not the movie came before the game?
@horrorfanandy4647 Жыл бұрын
The film came before the game, therefore the game is weirdly different from the film. It's great stuff but if you're expecting a 1:1 translation, then you're going to be sorely dissapointed. Imagine if the film Goldeneye had the character development of this game (aka cardboard cutout representations of their film counterparts, which by compariosn were strongly written 3 dimensional characters built through excellent dialogue and dramatic storytelling) or the action of this game, it would be abysmal. And obviously it's different tonally, for a start, the films soundtrack doesn't have that much in common with soundtrack of the game. I could list a million other things.

Imagine being disappointed by a movie not being exactly the same as its video game adaptation, especially when said movie is one of the best James Bond films. You do realize that movies and video games are two different mediums, right?
@horrorfanandy4647 Жыл бұрын
@@hyperrunner8531 Nah, I think the game is great, but in terms of setpieces, Goldeneye the film is much better. The game tacks on extra levels that weren't in the film to compensate for the fact that hardware limitations meant they couldn't include all of the great action scenes (at least as they were) in the film. Which is fair enough. This arguement is unfair and pointless though, film and game are two different mediums. I enjoy the film more, (top 5 James Bond film, if not No. 1) but it's an unfair comparison no matter which way you look at it.
