Goldeneye N64 Rare Cartridge | How I Got My Demo of Goldeneye

What's up guys, hope you're well.
Today we are taking a look at some eye candy, and discuss how I got my copy of Goldeneye used in N64 kiosks.
I hope you enjoy the backdrop as much as I do, this was kind of a pain to set up but way better looking than a plain wall.
This channel primarily focuses on in depth game coverage, TOP 10s, "it's expensive but is it good?", crazy challenges like the NES bike, and much more!
The two songs used were Facility and Dam OSTs from Goldeneye

It's amazing that you managed to snag this NFR copy. Especially with how you got it from your college town. That just makes me think of what Trevelyan says about luck and fate. It was also really cool seeing the whole collection lined up in the background! Having all of the boxes in the back and stacking the cartridges definitely made for a great visual. Absolutely a set to be proud of.

I remember playing Goldeneye in my local Blockbuster N64 kiosk. Couldn't wait til the release date to rent it and bugged the hell out of my mom to get me copy for Xmas '97. Great times! Now hopefully that was a hint you're about to cover Perfect Dark front to back on the channel too. Lol! Nice vid, bro. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🎮🔥

Pretty awesome that you had the foresight to go after that NFR subset before the market went completely insane lol sitting on some super cool items there. Speaking of which, love hearing the backstory on that Mario tv stand! I’ve noticed it in many of your vids, rad you got such an amazing deal on it, just goes to show you can still score big if you’re persistent (and lucky 😜). Would you ever be interested in collecting the kiosks for the demo games? The 64 one is soooooo cool, I would love to snag one, but I’m sure it’s easier said than done these days and the market is probably nutty on them too

Thanks, Mega Mob! Hope you’ve been well dude! And honestly I haven’t ever been a big hunt in the wild type of guy, but I’d swing by that pawn shop maybe once a month or two.. nothing crazy. Actually going for a kiosk unit is something I used to care and think about a lot, a long time ago, but yeah idk if that’ll become a thing.. it’d have to be a right place right time type of deal. I haven’t been really collecting or pursuing too much for several years once I got my mind right about playing through everything I already have…. been way happier since I came up with those wellness tips over covid if you remember that video. I’m excited to get back to playing some games though for more meaty episodes ❤️

This is why you need to find second hand, retro stores in your areas. Goldeneye probably costs $50 at most at my local store.

This was a long time ago, I do not recommend burning yourself out going everywhere hopeful for games… it’s much better for your time to just focus on your work / career, and then at your own convenience see if you can work something out online… but it depends on your area bc some people get lucky a whole lot where they’re at! Local selling apps are apparently quite helpful for some…

It’s a bummer that the original owner ripped the back label because, as I’m sure you know, that would be where the NFR sticker with the name of the store would be… other than that the cartridge appears to be mint. I have some NFR’s myself but they are not even close to as rare as Goldeneye. I would love to find out exactly how many of those were made, it has to under 5,000. The story of how you received the game is fascinating, because it proves that small stores can have these gems tucked away in the corner, still out in the wild and not in the hands of collectors. You just have to be lucky. I’m very jealous!😄

Hey Nolan, I appreciate you watching and your comment! That’s cool you’ve got some NFRs of your own, they’re all pretty darn rare in the scheme of things! I wish I could say I was the one to find it in the pawn shop, that was somebody else and I only knew because it was on eBay, so he got the flip for 250ish like 7 years ago. I also wish the back label wasn’t peeled off! Looking forward to what you think of the other NFR vids and all that!

@@Defeationist the cart is only $30, if you have an N64! You can do it, some of these games just require some practice and coming back to them. I’ve got 3 videos that can help you, I totally believe seeing gameplay helps a ton! There’s the top 10 hardest missions, target times, and a 55 min video about beating the entire thing. No pressure but I know you can do it! You’ll get through Agent pretty easily, just be patient with it and take breaks, come back and you’ll definitely get through it all!
