Great movie but I don't understand why Poland looks like 30years ago in it.
@anomis-t2q2 күн бұрын
@@xxxxlxxxxify I don't think it was an intentional choice by Eisenberg, but I get what you mean: Romania still comes across the same way, even if many things have changed and there has been progress for the last 30 years. I guess traces of the old can still be seen and we, as natives (I assume you are Polish, sorry if I am mistaken), are more likely to notice them than others.
@xxxxlxxxxify2 күн бұрын
@@anomis-t2q Yes I am Polish. I travel a lot and and big polish cities like Warsaw are actually as modern as other West European cities (sometimes even more), but in the movie everything looks very old and poor, there are very old cars on the streets (such old taxi cars are not allowed to drive from polish airports lol), hotels look like from the communist era. I understand that people from the US who have never been here may see Eastern European countries this way, but Eisenberg had been in Poland many times. Btw welcome to Schengen :D
@anomis-t2q2 күн бұрын
@@xxxxlxxxxify THAT was my first thought while watching them drive from the airport, why the old looking car? :)) I guess it WAS an intentional choice, after all, although I can't see the meaning behind it. This film is feels like a Zone of Interest inside the Zone of Interest for the benefit of the greater Zone of Interest that is the media-managed Western bubble. And as hugely likeable as the Culkin/Eisenberg duo is, after spending18 months with my heart in my mouth over the devastation and butchery in the Palestinian territories I just could not get over the cruel irony of yet another visit of remembrance against the backdrop of total silence for the violence happening in real time. Jermy he make roy cohin lawyer and trainer of donald trump sooo good and he has role as if he leading in film.. he revive and give life to roy cohin a real person in the film. So film make two piopic in same time roy cohin and donald trump so well. And roy cohin story stronger than guy piers in the prutlist. So disaster and scandel anthor won.
