Suchitra was the first Indian actress to receive a foreign award, she entered cinema after marriage, Suchitra Sen, the famous actress of Hindi and Bengali cinema, was born on this day i.e. 6 April 1931 in Bangladesh. Apart from Bengali cinema, she left an indelible mark with her acting in Hindi cinema. Suchitra Sen worked with many veteran Bollywood actors. It is said about that famous actress Suchitra Sen that she was very self-respecting. Many times, if she did not like some things, she used to reject people's proposals in a jiffy. She convinced everyone with her unique acting. She taught how to do romance on screen without vulgarity. Suchitra Sen was one of the most beautiful actresses of her time. Every director wanted to work with her. Suchitra Sen was born on 6 April 1931 in the then Pabna district of Bangladesh. Her real name was Roma Dasgupta. Her father Karunomay Dasgupta was a head master. Suchitra Sen received her early education from Pabna. In 1947, Suchitra Sen was married to Dibanath Sen, son of Bengal's well-known industrialist Adinath Sen. A year later, the actress entered films and stunned even the best with her acting. She initially worked for Bengali cinema. In 1952, her Bengali film 'Saare Chatur' was released, which is said to be her first film. The pair of Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen was considered the most famous pair of Bengali cinema. Together, the two made one after another unique films. Between 1953 and 1978, Suchitra did a total of 61 films in Hindi and Bengali. Out of Suchitra's total 61 films, 30 were with Uttam Kumar. When Suchitra got a chance to work in Bollywood, she made her mark here too. She worked in Bollywood films like Musafir, Hospital, Mumbai Ka Babu, Mamta and Aandhi. She was liked the most in the films Devdas and Aandhi. Chitra was such an actress who would reject films of even the biggest filmmakers. The actress even rejected Raj Kapoor's film. It is said that Suchitra did not like Raj Kapoor's way of bowing down and giving flowers. Not only this, the great veteran filmmaker Satyajit Ray wanted to cast her in 'Devi Chaudhurani', but the actress refused for it. Suchitra Sen was last seen in the Bengali film 'Pranoy Paash' released in 1978. After this film, she retired from the industry and became a member of Ramakrishna Mission and started doing social work. In 1972, Suchitra was awarded the Padma Shri award. On January 17, 2014, she said goodbye to this world. Let us tell you that Suchitra was the first Bengali actress to be awarded at an international film festival. Suchitra Sen is the mother of Bollywood actress Moon Moon Sen and grandmother of Riya and Raima Sen. The film 'Aandhi' was also banned for some days. Later when it was released, it achieved good success at the box office. Almost all the songs of this film became very famous in those days. Among these songs, ..Tere Bina Zindagi Se Shikwa To Nahin.. and ..Tum Aa Gaye Ho Noor Aa Gaya Hai.. fall in the category of evergreen songs. Suchitra Sen last acted in the Bengali film 'Pranoy Paash' released in the year 1978. After this, she retired from the film industry and became a member of Ram Krishna Mission and started doing social work. Suchitra Sen was given the Padma Shri award in the year 1972.Suchitra Sen is credited with being the first Indian actress to receive an international award at the Moscow International Film Festival in the year 1963. She was honored for her role of a frustrated alcoholic in the film Saptapadi. ​​She was also honored with the Padma Shri award in India.

Suchitra sen was a natural beauty, like madhubala, blessed with magnetic persona and amazing talent that touched viewers, getting her married at age 15 was a crime equivalent, that age marriage is traumatic. Marriage requires maturity of both. I regard her husband mist unfortunate that he could not heal the hears, and left -abandoned. Knowing about her life was humbling and reveals that life does not smile at all the very best. Thanks for this video.

Ji bahut Sundar achi abhinetri thi aur bahut निर्भीक निष्पक्ष विचार व्यक्त किया करती थीं लेकिन शायद कुछ साल बाद आंधी फिल्म में जो रोल इनको मिला था ओ इंद्रागाधी जी कि प्रेम कहानी से प्रेरित स्टोरी पर बनी हुई थी इसी लिऐ इसफिल्म को दो वर्ष के लिए प्रतिबंधत कर दिया गया था लेकिन जब जनता पार्टी सरकार बनी तो दुबारा से फिल्म देखी थी संजीव कुमार जी ने भी बहुत अच्छा अभिनय किया था बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद साधुवाद भाई जी
